A friend of mine has speed triple and he is totally satisfied with the bike and i too rode it on couple of occasions.Must say that is a very good bike with almost instant throttle response!

Have a look at this video (if you haven't already)

Sharath,

It was a good read. The owner who you met graduated from a Pulsar 180.

Re: Triumph Street Triple: Ownership Review

After a long hiatus, thanks to the whole detune saga, I'm back with some ride reports, with the odo reading around 12000kms. Second service was carried out at 10800 kms and as I had predicted, involved only a change of oil and oil filter, topping up of coolant and general lubrication and inspection.

Recent was a ride to the Scotland of India, Coorg. It was a small trip of just one day and we managed to hit couple of tourist spots, such as Bylakuppe ( Tibetian Monastry) and a newly constructed resort Tamara. The resort boasts of the tree-house experience and allows one to relax in the midst of a vast coffee plantation.

Mate, unable to send a PM to you. Have a rider in my group who owns a speed and can share his experience with you.

Re: Triumph Street Triple: Ownership Review

Thank you Hifisharu for not only starting this thread and sharing regular updates but also for answering all questions. Thanks also to all that participated in the discussion on this thread. You have all helped me in getting my Striple home in a matter of two weeks since I thought of buying a bike. I hope I can become a useful contributor here as well.
I got my white Striple delivered today from Keerthi - a big shout out to Clayton and his colleagues who had to put up with my impatience over the last week or so.
BTW - I think I'm in love with the bike

Hey Ankur, glad to help. It's also a means for me to keep record of my travels and experiences, for reference in the years to come. Welcome to the BRATs fold and hope to see you on one of the rides soon.

Happy riding until then

Sorry for the back to back posts, couldn't help it. Wanted to update on some additions on the bike, mostly farkle stuff, but also functional

Added the front fork protector, costs around Rs2500

And also the Triumph LED indicators, costs ~ Rs6000. Cost includes a relay required to correct the flashing rate, as otherwise they will blink too fast.

They look great, and work great too. That completes my conversion of all auxiliary lights to LEDs

Re: Triumph Street Triple: Ownership Review

LED indicators look cool. Did you opt for 1.5L accessories package?

Yeah djay99, I went with the accessories option. With the air transition box changed, the bike is a different animal altogether. The growl is deeper, and one can really feel the true performance of the Triple. Just waiting for the Arrows now

Re: Triumph Street Triple: Ownership Review

Mate, the LEDs look fab! I've got them on back order and hoping to get my hands on them soon.
Just a suggestion - do have a dekko at the LED taillight as well. I got the LEDs on my bike and they are gorgeous. Will complete your set too
I would love to hear your thoughts on the bike performance once the Arrows are put in. Having spent as much time and as many miles as you did with the stock, it'll be very interesting to know how much things improve.
Cheers and enjoy the ride!

Hey Ankur, thanks for the wishes. I didn't quite get what you meant by LED tail light. The tail light is already LED. Did you mean the license plate light?

Re: Triumph Street Triple: Ownership Review

Another minor addition to the bike, got a seat cover made, similar to the Luimoto one available for the Street. The Luimoto one is around 150$ and definitely is a premium product. Have seen is on a friend's Street. I decided to go with a local maker and got one stitched at Rao Seat covers, Shivajinagar, for Rs350. Quality could be better, but this will do for now.
