I am not sure about the exact price as off today, however back in November'10 I remember it being close to around 22 Lakhs. Not sure if that was ex-showroom or On-road though.

Spotted this R1 with Akrapovic exhausts. But surprisingly, she didn't sound all that loud when the owner revved her nuts off (excuse the pun ) on the KBR stretch!

Akrapovic' arent known for their sound, although muffled, they do sound good. Although I would always prefer Microns on a Yamaha, as with Muzzy on a Kwacker.

The Monster is owned by a TBHPian from Blore and the bike is only a few weeks old. The other one is a Blade.

I actually thought it was you. The owner has not disclosed this purchase on the forum.

We just exchanged pleasantries and then i headed back. It was starting to get really hot so couldn't chat him up.

How I wish! I was supposed to get it last Thursday but the bikes have not yet arrived and hence the delivery is postponed. The launch is also delayed because of the same reason...

I have heard there is a drop in ex showroom price by 1.5L or so. Did you get the bike at a discounted price ?

aah, heard about this bike from the blade owner. a awesome bike to ride around i believe. afaik, even the blade belongs to a bangalore team-bhpian.

the second service for the r1 in hyderabad, costed me Rs 4,800/- this included all the filters, all the oils (semi-synth yamalubes) and labour. the battery was also changed which costed me 9k. all this was done in march end. guess the price should be almost same in mumbai for the yam.
