Read in news paper today, that 3 super bikes were seized by Kerala Police last Saturday at Kowdiar, Trivandrum. Which includes the newest Kerala registered SB. The daily also mentioned that the rider was not having a driving license.Later the Kerala registered SB was given back, but the other two is still in custody. The daily said that, the other 2 other state registered bike will be released only to the registered owners. BTW the other 2 has MH registration as the daily explained. The news paper reported that all 3 were sized for street racing but later police found that it was negligent riding . Thanks to police Cameras and police control room. The all saga started after the pedestrians called the cops. The particular stretch is notorious for bike accident deaths and street races.

The report in the papers is absolute hoax, they've scripted it perfectly to sensationalize the matter.

Firstly, there was no race being held anywhere, it was almost peak rush hour when they were busted and these people aren't foolish enough to risk their lives to weave through such traffic.

The rider, whom the paper reports as having no driving license has been my good friend for a long time and I as a matter of fact know that it is an utter lie!

Also, the bike he was riding was a brand new 2012 Yamaha R1 which was delivered just a week back and has hardly been run in, he himself told me that he wont breach 100 kmph/4k rpm mark until the bike crosses 1600 kms as said in the owner's manual. So rash/high speed riding is out of question.

Regarding the other two bikes, the R1 and R6, there is no point in demanding to see the registered owners to release the bikes because these people possess NOCs, and that's valid enough to get the bikes out for such a petty case.

Just to conclude, in my friend's own words, despite this whole bad scenario, the cops have been incredibly decent through out the process and has handled the situation very professionally

Then came the media..
