You bet it does!!! What a fantastic example of the mighty CB400 this is. Looks in mint condition. Your friend is one lucky guy!
I love the XJR 1300 for its old school looks and the motor which makes it a true blue muscle bike. But the chances of Yamaha launching it here is next to none and what is even worse is my chance of owning one. Unless I move abroad of course. This CB400 comes really close to looking like the XJR 1300 and if even I get a chance to own one, I will grab it both hands for sure!!!

FI came to the CB400 as late as 2008; so this is a carb'd version. Although, since it's a 2001 model, it should have the 1st gen VTEC system.

Saw these parked outside what seemed to be the upcoming showroom on lavelle road. There was a white F3 there too. Honestly, to me the bikes looked very very average considering the price they are being sold at.

This is a 1998 Non Vtec i guess.

This was on sale since 4 months. Pictures of the same was being circulated on WA in our bike group. Finally my friend picked this up during last month.

The bike had undergone ground up restoration at IndiMotard Greasehouse. There are tons of parts replaced which are Honda Genuine spares. It is a stunner in flesh.
