But RSV1000R at 6.5lakhs would be awesome man....... Is it really true??!

The 3.6 lk 650cc cruiser(the new aquila).. When is that coming man??!! Looks pretty good in the pic that was in Overdrive.. And the price too seems pretty good......

_Its raining bike, alleluia.. It's raining bikes.. Wait a min, it'l take time. grrrrrr_
Yes Buddy the RVS is coming but, like all things that come here its gonna take time. Hopefully Suzuki will bring in their bikes too and others will surely follow suit, finally it would be a bikers PARADISE here.
The 650cc Aquila is nothing but the 650cc comet, that's gonna take more that a YEAR at the most to come to our shores.
All we can do is wait man and hope that the petrol prices don't sky rocket by then.

Don't hold your breath for these imports just yet. Sadly the lackluster response to the Comet may have put any plans other companies had for CBU's on hold.

As for the Aprillia, well, that would be a dream now wouldn't it, but if it comes, don't expect it to be priced at 6.5 lakhs.

I guess you're right, hoping to get an RSV for that price is pushing hope a little too far I guess. Also Italian beauties don't come cheap.
Perhaps Suzuki should pitch in with 400-600cc bikes.

Akkiben,
No the both are not same..

650cc comet is a sportsbike, with fairings....

650 cc Aquila is a cruiser.. Looks pretty decent in the pic.. for 3.5 lks it sounds good... Donno when it'l come though

My error, what I meant was, both the bikes use the same 650cc oil cooled engine.

The 650cc comet comes in two versions, one with fairings which is the "s" model and the other a naked one. Same as the suzuki SV650s and SV650.

True unfortunately. I mailed the Suzuki India rep, and he confirmed that Suzuki's first independent bike in independent India is a 125 pot machine.

And they've got the RSX 750 on their "in production" website.

Sad stuff. But then they've got to survive. India is an unforgiving market.

An inline 4 400, because you get IHI and garrett turbos small enuff to boost it, Imagine 100+bhp(or possibly much more) from a bike weighing almost as much as a karizma.

Well, to conclude this topic, I went ahead for the older 400...and loving every moment of it!

The Comet deliveries have yet to begin, and it is now April! i think I made the right choice.

Turbo...hmm...interesting....
