See that red swift? The car was parked and a young couple was already in the car when we stormed the place.


Tripods came out.

We saw some cars doing CRAZY speeds on this stretch just before Sea-link.


We were pretty sure that the folks in the red swift were getting uncomfortable by then, with all the BHPian crowd around them. Finally they decided to leave.

Raghav mentioned that he saw a Amaze with stickers parked at the end of our convoy. Jignesh did go back to say hi to him. Was a BHPian. He came over to say hi to all.

It was indeed a great idea to have a mid-might meet. Probably the only time in Mumbai when one can enjoy the drive & witness the beauty of this city.

Also it was amazing to see 13 cars participating late at night.

Pics set-3:

Sea-link was a breeze. In next 10 minutes -around 12:40am- we were hunting for a large enough space to park 13 cars at the Worli Seaface. We did not find any space near the sea-link exit, so settled for a spot a bit farther.

While we drove to Worli side, Esmail decided to join us on the Bandra side. A couple of calls later, the Polo GT joined us.

Last set of pics:

1:30am -> It was getting late and some folks called it a day. Saket, Abhishek, Arun, Pritam, Jignesh, Yogesh and Swapnil left. The rest still wanted to push ahead to conquer the NCPA.

In the morning, a stretch near Chowpatty had caved in. Esmail and Siddarth expertly navigated us through this region to avoid any bottlenecks due to the cave-in. Around 2am, 6 cars reached NCPA.

Looking at the activity at the sea-face, it seemed like it was 9pm.




The police started shooing away folks from the sea-face around 2:30am. We started back after a quick group pic.

Four cars reached the begining of Eastern Freeway at 2:45AM .
Unique experience of Raghav's FFE Swift roaring in the Freeway tunnel! Reached home around 3:10am.

Forgive me for being the party pooper, but I don't think stopping at Reclamation is a good idea, let alone crossing to the middle to take pics. I mean just a few weeks ago someone was hit by a car while changing his tyre. Stopping there early in the morning (when there is visibility) is one thing, but at 1230am while most cars are doing almost triple digit speeds is another.

Very valid observation Akshay! I agree. It was a collective decision to stop there. Not necessarily the best decision. We did see some cars doing insane speeds. Although we were trying to contain the group in the road's shoulder area, a few folks were spilling onto the leftmost lane once in a while. In hindsight, quite a risky situation.
