Tried, tested and failed. The manager was a tough nut to crack, so the staying back during appraisal time doesn't work on him. Need to think of other ideas.

Would CCD Tumkur road be a good place to meet and start from ? As per Gmaps, it is a part of HPCL and has McDonalds as well. I'm hoping that they can accommodate a few cars and bikes. Note: It's accessible via the service road.

As per these Review1 Review2, 9 AM should be a good time to start at. I'll leave it those who've been there before to decide.

If its via airport road, meeting point can be opposite Columbia Asia hospital (there's space to park cars there). If via Tumkur road, the cars can assemble at the NICE exit (after toll gate, before passing out of NICE onto Tumkur road)

If you'll be using the NICE road to get there then, 200m from the NICE road Tumkur exit where both roads meet will be ideal. Those joining us from North Bangalore, please advise if this ok. I honestly don't know if there's a CCD or MCD close to that.

Will I be the only one if I brought along my Yezdi ? If yes then, I'll get the SX4 instead. I live in Jayanagar and will have to pick up a friend who'll be joining from Hebbal/Yesvantpur.

guys, bad weather is expected this weekend according to the met department. Make sure you carry proper rain protection too.

9am meeting time? Isn't that a bit too late for you guys to start off from here? You'll reach only by 12 noon, start the climb, come back by 3-4 and again take 3 more hours to reach B'lore. My suggestion is to start off earlier, maybe around 7am or so, have breakfast at Aggarwal's or Kamat on Tumkur road, carry something to eat up on the hill also. Have your lunch on the top, get back here by dusk. The toll gate car queues on Tumkur road can stretch quite a long way on sunday evenings *lol*.
