Other than Kanakapura Road, there is Hyderabad Road, Old Madras Road, Hosur Road, Tumkur Road, Mangalore Road. If its Mysore Road, we have to start by 5-5.30 am as it will be lot of traffic on Sunday. So guys please suggest some location.

Well said ! I still do not know why people depend on someone for cleaning and detailing of our cars. We get lot of satisfaction in washing and detailing by ourself. We need to cultivate this as a hobby.

Problem is if I sit with detailing the car, I can't use the car for full day and I can't even go out the whole day. Besides weekends are more busy running errands than weekdays.

OT: @Vidyut - LOL ! Nice catch ! Agree what you said, but I detail my car fully once in Two months by complete wash-polish-sealant-waxing. So I need only 2 days in 2 months to detail the car.

Other days, I dust with Jopasu, use Optimum No Rinse. Just spray all over the car & wipe with MF Cloth, then spray Meg's QD and finish in 20 minutes. So I will be satisfied cleaning & detailing on my own & my family will be happy that I'm at home in some corner of the house ;p

Now please suggest some good place to drive 1-2 hours, then have BF & chat for 1-2 hrs & come back by noon.

Re: Quick Meets at Bangalore

Guys, here's another suggestion for the meet
Drive out to have breakfast at Doddaballapur railway station (you get yummy idlys there), post breakfast drive onwards towards Makali or towards Green Valley Resorts for some photo ops, return to Bhagini on Doddaballpur road for a leisurely lunch (for those who want to linger on) and then call it a day.
I too might join depending on the time of the meet.

Amp, have you tried Vasu hotel at Kanakapura town? Its a very old eatery with almost dungeon-like interiors. This place is famous for Masala Dosas. Only issue is there is no parking space on the main highway. Best bet is to go very early around 7am and get back quickly.

Because that certain someone (3M) has better equipment and infrastructure than myself, to detail the car to my satisfaction . Saar, I don't have a pressure wash machine or the luxury of a big open space to wash the car either. I live in an independent house with a compact portico just enough to fit the cars and walk around *sigh*.

I do wash the car myself sometimes, but that makes the entire area outside my house entrance slushy and wet (which my mom dislikes). This is why I prefer getting it washed at 3M unless it is prohibitively dirty *winks*. I don't employ any cleaner boys and all, I just use the Jopasu duster for daily cleaning and postpone washing until really required.

Re: Quick Meets at Bangalore

So when is this meet? Tomorrow or Sunday?

Looking at the weather, if it does rain, I will come along in my car.

The ninja has been washed and waxed and i don't want my 3 hour detailing effort to get wasted.

And if the car does get dirty, not a problem. I have some PPF job pending on the car so along with this, a wash and wax @ 3M will do nicely as well.

Karthik - You have me for company mate

+1. I have been to Green Valley resorts. Food (breakfast) was not great. But gives you nice roads to drive. If you continue on the road further down, you can reach the other side of Makali hills. On a cloudy day, its really fun.

If you can make it REAL early (be there at sunrise) you get some nice shots at the base of Makali hill and the head back to this resort for some and group time. One need not park at the railway station and walk. You can directly drive to the base hill where the temple is. Its fun. I can post snaps in the evening as I dont have them with me now.

Location to the base

No Karthik, I have not tried this place. I only remember seeing Udupi upachar on the left.

Throwing in a rogue idea. Since the destination is still ambiguous, I ll throw in my suggestion too.

It could turn out to be interesting for some golf lovers too. I am no golf player but dont mind watching blokes tee off. The usual meeting at NICE road toll plazas and drive to Eagleton Resort for breakfast. After which, some of you all who have golf kits can tee off, and then a drive back.

The resort has ample parking space too and kinda has an away-from-city feel to it. Plus they have a brekafast buffet too. Not sure about steaming hot masala dosas n puris though. I think its roughly about 400bucks per person. But worth it for the ambience within the resort.

Feel free to critique cos im just throwing in one more idea into the bag of ideas!

You should try it ...when my in-laws were in Kollegal ( adv of having a FIL in bank) we used to stop at this hotel as a ritual and proceed. Their maddur vade is also awesome. Usually we used to take out and not eat there...I am drooling here in the desert imagining the dosa
