Diwali holidays but hoping that this list grows -

What: A lunch drive/ride
Where - Mysore / Gundulpet TBD
When - Fri 01 Nov.,'13
Formal Meeting Point - Right after NICE exit to Mysore Road

Any plans for a meet? I'm itching for a longish ride on my bike and was planning a trip to Kerala but the following day is Diwali so had to cancel this trip.

We can do a lunch drive/ride to Gundulpet or Mysore, what say?

Agreed. With all that traffic and mad drivers, wont really get to enjoy the drive. Any other options? How about going over for Benne Dose in Davengere (near Bapuji Dental college)? Long drive + less traffic. Lunch can also be done some place on the way back? Other suggestions also welcome.

That would be close to 550 Km and doesn't sound bad to me at all!

A shorter alternative would be a breakfast ride to Hotel Mayura, Bellur Cross.

Follow this thread regularly and see how the drive meet in the preceding post takes shape. Right now we have a date, only the destination needs to be decided. If the latter is not an issue, add your name to the list. Once the destination is finalised, the meeting point will be announced in this thread itself and you can show up there at the time specified with your ride.

Guys, is Mysore road really a good drive especially over a long weekend?

My choice is either north towards/beyond Tumkur or we go towards Lepakshi towards airport.

These are some nice roads rather than speed breaker heaven mysore road.
