Hello This is my very first forum post on TBhp.
It's about a small drive we did the last Sunday.
The weather has been really nice around Bengaluru for the past few days, which stirred up a conversation to have a small drive with Fellow Bhpian’s.
The plan was to go to a Fort near Krishnagiri which is called Bolumalai Fort and try to capture the sunrise.

The BHpian's who joined :
1. ishan0278 - Red Thar Petrol 4x4 Manual
2. turbonath - Rocky Beige That Petrol 4x4 Manual
3. rhik94- VW Polo 1.0 TSI Manual
4. krishnakumar - XUV 300 Diesel Manual
5. astro_adi7 - XUV 700 Petrol Automatic

The initial meetup time was 4 a.m., so many of us enthusiastically couldn’t sleep and turned up for the Drive.
There were 5 Tbhp Members and one of our friends who joined up for the drive.
We started at McDonalds Shoolagiri with some Quick Coffee and Food.
Dodging the traffic on the ever busy highway , we got to see a fantastic , serene side of TN B roads. Reminded me of Malgudi Days.

Beautiful Mist in the air with Lush green Farm’s and the background to Krishnagiri Hills was a sight to behold.

Then came the climb, it was slightly slushy. But with all the drivers being enthusiastic we all had a great time.



The entry fees to Bolumalai is 100 Rs per car, we were told that there’s not enough space for all the cars.

Upon reaching the parking point for 4-wheelers, we saw the magnanimous granite hill of Bolumalai.


We initially took the @Turbonath’s Thar and mine and @krishnakumar’s XUV 300 on the Top.



That is where we spotted some bikers, but as there was fog, we couldn’t see the sunrise. @turbonath decided to make his thar do some rock crawling. Gathered quite a lot of eyeballs there.



The these cars climbed down and we got a fantastic shot of both the Thar's looking great on that downhill patch.



Soon we came up with the rest of the car's and parked ours downhill.
We could only manage to park the other 3 Cars and decided to go exploring around the fort.



That is when the skies cleared up and we got this glorious view of Krishnagiri Area.



@turbonath and his drone shots made us enjoy the views from a very interesting angles.

After taking a group photo and having some snacks we decided to proceed down.



Meanwhile, I had spotted a puddle around which seemed like a perfect place to go have some fun.



Knowing that it was not causing any wildlife any distress, @astro_adi7 & @rhik94 captured some amazing shots.

After this festivity of mud, we decided to climb down.



On the way climbing up, we saw a small patch where we could have parked both the Thar’s on top of it.

@turbonath’s swift and safe maneuver to find a track, quickly resulted in both the Thar’s climbing up .



After this everyone wanted to join, so we skillfully managed all the FWD Cars to be parked by spotting carefully.
Note: No Fauna/ Flora was disturbed while doing this.
After some amazing drone shots and photography by @turbonath, @rhik94 and @astro_adi7.








We decided to head back and called it a day at Nandhana Palace with some Amazing Andhra Cuisine.

Awesome post Ishan! It was indeed amazing to have started from the city in the middle of the night and make our way to the spot. Though a sunrise was not in store for us, the rolling clouds and misty air more than made up for it!

It was exhilarating to have such an infectious energy amongst us which made us achieve some crazy feats!

As you said, look forward to the next short drive!
