It is never too late sir! Krishna cafe to madya kailash is just 5 min during early morning hours

Sir and the only exotic ride was the bullet! A 1992 left brake cast iron engine beauty. Goes fast , sounds like a bull shoulf and also empties the wallet like a bull should

re: Chennai Team-BHP Meets: 2017

We need to decide between Yelagiri and Alamparai Fort/Pichavaram/Puthur.

Majority have voted for 1st September, so is it fine with the guys who have voted for 2nd September?

re: Chennai Team-BHP Meets: 2017

I think we should probably consider how good or bad the roads to both the places are. bad roads will just spoil the drive. anyone been to either of these places recently??

I had recently been to Vellore. Used the NH-4/46 , the same one that leads to yelagiri and bangalore. The roads are decent and you can maintain speeds upto 130. But, you'll encounter diversions at regular intervals due to the on going road widening work. The NH part is good, but i heard the state highway between tirupattur and yelagiri is not that good.

Going by what saadat1992 and rameshnanda say the ecr drive would be better according to me. Plus we have multiple options of places to visit if it an ecr drive.

Place, wherever is fine. But consider to have the meet on Sunday ? Sunday is what the convenient option for all those who work 6 days a week and Chennai meet being a rare happening, please make it available for all BHP-ians to join. Hope this eventful meet and first one to me would materialise

A rough itenary if i may (i know! I am over enthusiastic. Its ecr after all )

7 am
assemble at a common meeting point- something like madya kailash

8.30 am
Stop for breakfast and coffee at kalpakkam and photo sessions along the route after breakfast.

10.30 am
Reach pichavaram and the interested parties may go for the boat rides. Others may stay back and chat, exchange contacts etc.

12.30pm-1.00pm
Start from pichavaram and reach jayaraman's mess in puthur in approx half hour. Have absolutely amazing non veg meals over there. (Place of lunch can be changed according to members preference).
If we are not having lunch at puthur we can start from pichavaram at 12.30pm and reach mahabs before 3pm and have a late lunch there.

6pm
Assemble back in madya kailash, say bye to fellow bhpians and leave for our respective houses!!
I love this plan, except that I prefer a shorter trip (until Alamparai Fort) or until Pondy is fine, but Cuddalore seems to be a bit of a stretch.

And Sunday (2nd September) is the day I would like to come due to work related constraints on Saturday.

Sir trust me. You will reach alamparai fort before you know it. Its jus 100 kms frm adyar.
Regarding cuddalore and beyond feeling like a bit of a stretch, my friends and myself started from chennai at 9 am and went to chidambaram for lunch , enjoyed the lake in pichavaram took lotsa photos and we were back in adyar by 7pm.

But we shall do as the majority vote. For me even a drive on mount road is fine as long as it is a teambhp drive

HAHA! That's the spirit!

Thing is that ECR is kind of unsafe when compared to other National Highways. I'm still not sure about the drive, depends on the availability of the cars and also it might be a working day for me. So, yeah, will confirm by friday.
