Dear Team, Sorry for not participating in this discussion for sometime. I was little tied up with some travel etc., Both the days 23rd and 29th October would not be possible for me as I guess 29th is the actual Diwali day here.

Sorry for hijacking this thread, but thought I should let all my Chennai Friends know about the below.

I had to let go off my beloved Thar due to specific reasons. As discussed with few of you during our last meet, looked at few options as under :

Used Ford Endeavour
Used Skoda Superb
New TUV300

and eventually bought a 2013 October XUV500 W8 which had done 34000 kms and under warranty. Extended the warranty immediately for the 4th and 5th year. The car is amazing with all features. Shall drive it for sometime and give a full account of this transition in a new thread in TBHP soon. I sincerely thank all those who helped me as I had many discussions with Maverick/MAS/Razorblade/Sushil/CaptainRex and few other non Chennai THBPians. A couple of photos.

For more than a year I couldn't attend any of the meets, either I will be out of city or bundled with other commitments. Fortunately today I had no other commitments and expecting the meet to happen

Chennai & meet never happens be it TBhp or any other group. Whenever phamilyman was in town the meets happened, other than that, its rare. Anyway, I was detailing both my bikes very hard. Rx is catching up lot of rust in last 6 years. The backside of turn lights are nearly black & hard to believe they glow like chrome

And its getting increasingly difficult to detail the bike & maintain to pristine these days esp when its not being used much.

And I live not more than a short walk from that restaurant so we can certainly meet up quite soon. Various other tbhpians work in Adyar / the OMR, or live fairly close by (eg: Mandaveli) so that distance shouldn't be a major issue for them either.
