Thanks for the lovely initiative and invite phamilyman. I follow this thread on daily basis but have never replied here since situation forces me out of any meets :(.

Weekday evening meets in and around OMR are not possible for me as I live and work in Ambattur and it is a pain to drive all the way across to a place diagonally at the other end of the city. My office hours normally extend on Fridays which is another concern. I will be watching out this space for future weekend meets so that I can join. Till then I will have to be content with the snaps the meets.

Guys it's good to hear that there's going to be a meet soon. How about we make it a little more than a small meet by going for a small drive? Mahabs probably. It's Saturday next day and I'm guessing not many people will have to get up early.

So a small drive sounds fun to me. Let me know your opinions.

No drive as of now. Everyone wanted to go back to their family for dinner last time. I'm game, except I find very little open in Chennai around say 10pm

Dang - let's see. We have enough interest for a weekend meet. Maybe we could do the something in March! I was thinking of either a short drive on the ECR to some beach joint for breakfast, or even an in-city meet up at Sowcarpet (or any other preferred hogging street food destination open early morning) followed by hogging!

Sorry i guess our posts crossed in terms of timing. We can float the idea of the drive at the meet and individual folks can decide, but tonight heading out anywhere is not possible. Its a great idea otherwise!

Well I don't know. Hindsight is always 20/20. You could come for half an hour or so and then depart straight away to the station, IF your train is at 10pm or so. Either ways, have a happy journey!
