If you climb the small hillock then you can get a very nice view of the whole place, there is also a temple at the top,

And if you don't mind another 10-12km drive you can go to Melukote too,

Guys, if you've not been to this place then don't miss this great chance. It's a very lovely place. But carry your food as not much option nearby. Better reach there in the afternoon/evening time and wait till sunset.
Route : Bangalore-Mandya-Take right near Mandya Bus Stand (you need to go under on an underpass). Just 200mtrs after the underpass you need to take a left and then take the State road towards Melukote. Around 30-40km drive you will reach a major junction. Left goes towards Kere Thonnur (towards right goes to melukote,4-5km there is a big Gate kinda thing there), you again need to take right after 6-7km on a small village road. This may be confusing if you've not been on that road. So in that case you may go further ahead and then take the main road(even this also bit confusing). Once you reach the village you can ask ppl there for Kere Thodanur/Thonnur and I'm sure many here know the route.

Hmmm the place sure seems tempting unfortunately cannot make it this weekend. Though next week there are a lot of holidays plus its valentines, if u guys come up with a plan then count me in.
