[quote=sohail99;1797098]If you are concerned about the rust

buy a can of clear coat and clear coat the area after scraping off the rust!

I bought a can of clear-coat myself!( brand - 'Bosny' for 220INR)
great for paint correction and clear coating stuff!

Thanks buddy!..
Lemme chk it out. I can mention "clear-coat paint " right?. Can i get it in a hardware/paint shop or this is specific to car .

What can be a better solution to get them corrected and to avoid it in the future?
This is normal and doesn't appear if the car is driven on daily basis. Moreover if the car is parked in wet areas, this problem is quite common.

Vijay, Turtle Wax is available locally. Did you order something unavailable locally?

Guys, after experimenting with Turtle Wax, I am very happy with the results. Used it on my black activa and it works wonders.

I was wondering now which would be a better dash board shiner for my swift. It shall help in shining the storage box of my activa also.

Any guidance on the same is highly appreciated !

@blackasta : Car is looking great
@sohail99 : Not in a mood to spend two hours again !!!

heres the cost involved

Formula1 Wash and wax 1.9l Rs 500 (used about 50ml).
3M Finees it rubbing compound Rs 100 (used 1/4 of amount)
Sonax polish Rs 450 (Used 30%)
Meguirs Tech wax 2.0 Rs1200 (used about 5% of whole tin)
Meguirs Microfibre Rs700 (can be reused again and again)

This investment of 2900 will give me atleast 10 this type of sessions with both my cars verna and alto after every three monts ,and i think that Rs 300 for this kind of job is not much. (Keep aside rs1000 labour charges)

Locally - Yes, but after reading so much about the fake products being sold here, wasn't sure of you.

Hyderabad folks - Any shops(and genuine/good brand available there) that you can recommend for buying various products?.

Bimal Car Spa Update

Sometime back i had posted about an experience of visting at bimal car spa. Apparently the posting was read by someone at Bimal and it was reported to the management. The refund was given, and the matter is closed. It was very nice on the part of the contact person there Mr Manish who handled this well and gave the money back. Its great to see the power of the community that we are a part of and also nice to meet people who respect customer feedback. Speaks very well of Bimal- maybe they do deserve a second chance, mistakes happen with all.

Good to know that they finally did the right thing. However, they acted only after they found out that you'd put up the details here.
The core issues still remain, I'm sure. Lack of trained staff and the unwillingness on the employer's part to invest in a proper training program.
Whats the latest feedback on the detailing place at Forum mall? Is it a good idea to get an interior clean up and a/c 'neutralizing' done there? Any other place that does a good job?

Tejas car spa - Kottivakkam, Chennai

Hi Guys,
Today morning when I got up to pick my newspaper, I saw a brochure about this Thejas Auto Spa and the details about car detailing of sorts. Anybody been there, seen there. Hearing it for the first time. Its on the OMR road as per the Advt.

What is the difference between Polish, rubing compound and swril marks applications like swirlX? As far as I have read all are abrasive in nature and remove the impurities from paint by working on clear coat!

A polish should be non abrasive, rubbing compund highly abrasive, and swirl remover mildly abrasive.
