very right, first download all till 13 zoom level then download till 17 level for selected locations. Keep the download location same and gmapmaker will download only the pending part

I have the whole of north india on zoom 0-13 and Delhi and NCR 0-17.

@lambuhere1
Yes once you have downloaded them to your pc, they work very well in offline mode.

There is a post somewhere on this thread explaining the detailed process on how to download the maps to your pc

Alternatively you could try www(dot)mgmaps(dot)com

True, that is the right approach. Download upto Zoom Level 13 or 14 for a large area, and higher zoom levels for big cities additionally. Best combo of download time, uSD card MB required, and functionality...

I am downloading the whole of south India at zoom 15. And then I'll select a few cities for zoom 16 & 17. I think that should be ok.

Does anyone want these from me after I have downloaded it?

Hi, Would be interested to download this from you, if you manage to download this 100%.

I have tried many times, without any success and most of the time results in ip ban.

Ok guys,

I have finished downloading Bangalore/Mysore, Mangalore/Hassan and almost the entire Kerala areas at zoom 0 - 17.

Now, how do I seperate a small area from the entire downloaded folders if and when I want to? For eg, a couple of u guys wanted Kerala, so how do I pull out only the Kerala area that I want to?

Hi!

I am using a bluetooth GPS receiver paired with N70. I am using mgmaps for storing maps offline. I want to know how to log stats like avg speed, distance covered, etc. etc so that I can check the stats for post-mortem analysis.

Is there any symbian software for this? I tried GPSed but it doesnt seem to work at all. Any other suggestion?

You can download Nokia sports tracker. It will:

1. Log these stats
2. Show stats in nice UI
3. (Optionally) Upload stats in Nokia's site where you can see your path over Google map
4. You can export tracks to Google map format (KML) or GPX.

Its a free App and free service.

I have a friend coming down middle of May from US.

I am looking to buy a GPS for around $100. As i see from the forum, Windows CE based ones would cost around that much. My questions

1. What features do i look for.
2. Where to buy ?
3. What softwares (Paid and Free) can be used on these.
4. Can I connect my Laptop/Mobile via bluetooth and use Google maps to check ?

I am confused after reading too much

Nokia AF Track may not work with N70.
