Some tips for autocop users

is any one aware of the fact that if you press your autocop remote key for more than 300 time when you are away from your car and you are out of frequency then the remote will not work on your autocop.

Solution :-
switch on and off your ignition key for 8 time in 10 seconds and the autocop system reprograms it self and your remote will start working

In the recent version of autocops there is a deactivation switch fixed in the autocop handheld small assembly which should be turned off after locking the doors. So there is no chance of accidental on/off inside the pocket due to pressing while one is away from the car. This solves all the problems.

Read elsewhere or tried this?

Do you know?

To deactivate reverse horn, please press the centre button & then press the unlock button. Many might be aware of this, but I had found this feature only few days back.

Please add of any features

Please publicise this as much as possible! In fact instead of banning colas and edited movies, I wish they would ban reverse horns...

My house is near a temple where people continue to visit till late night atleast twice a month. Sounds of all the reversing that happens close to my house drives me mad. Especially 'swami jai jagadish hare' at 11 in the night when I have to be up by 5.30 in the morning and start to work.

My friend wakes up to one such Alto at 5.30 in the morning , undesirably though. I pity him....

It is in my opinion as well that they should ban all reversing sounds.

regards

Some one told me that car thieves break open the indicator light panel and cut the wire from there to deactivate the central locking system... Now is this possible??

Exactly.... Although i may be wrong, but if one can cause somekind of a short circuit using the indicator wires, the battery may shut down and one can easily break in without letting the alarm off.... then he can open the bonnet and unplug the central lock... and the car will be his.... Any expert's comments???

Isn't it very easy to simply break-in - autocop will go off - but immediately bonnet release is pulled and accomplice opens the bonnet and disconnects the battery? It should not take more than 15-30s for this and no one will bother once siren stops.

Think if you open the indicator and short the wires first......then open the door...When the autocop alarm goes off...the circuit wil be shorted...nd if the main fuse blows off...There`s no alarm at al....once this happens.....WEll this is what struck to my mind when i heard about thieves deactivating the autocop....This may be possible right??
