I had a small problem in the front of the car just under the passenger sun visor. On a heavy rainfall day i could see a damp spot at the corner. On the outside i put araldite and the seepage stopped completely.I suspect in areas like these the silicon sealant thats factory fitted develops cracks over the years.
Araldite helps in so many ways. Its always good to keep a pack or two.

With CNG car performs fine enough for daily commute to work. Dont expect the joyous ride of petrol from CNG.
Cant tell precisely about power loss, but its easily felt i.e. while A/c is on, while ascending a flyover, the acceleration and pick up drop is quite apparent.
The engine sensor light turns on as soon as they touch the wiring.
No such mechanical issue.
Efficiency is near 20Km per Kg in city.
I think the cylinder in boot definitely makes the rear lowered but can be managed using a half inch spacer.

The very first issue with the CNG is that there is hard to find an honest vendor who will provide you with genuine components.
Second is the lack of their knowledge about a particular car. They assume system of Honda city just like santro or esteem. or accord to that of accent. One solution for all cars.
Further to add on the apathy the stupid (F) CNG mechanics who think of themselves as automobile experts, all they do is jugaad. :deadhorse
To me it seems a gamble unless you find a real experienced and more important honest hand.
If you want to get you car CNG'd wait few more months for Honda to launch dealer fitted cars (Its a truly reliable news). Honda city will be first followed by Jazz. Otherwise I suggest to go for diesels. Try to avoid screwing your old Gem.

Honestly i have no budget to buy a new car. Am planning to run CNG on my vtec for a daily 100% commute to office. The good thing is i do not have to take any flyovers but yes the traffic is bad.

Also i am hoping that i will be able to run the car like it was when i select petrol and want to have some fun.

I have identified a really good CNG installation guy and am hopeful that he knows his job well.

Are your efficiency figures with 100% AC in traffic? If yes thats great!

Yes you can enjoy the drive on petrol.
Do go through the whole thread on CNG conversion, better learn before hand about what you are putting your money into.
It was 80% AC in Delhi traffic.
Also I would say do a realistic financial cost benefit analysis of how much are you spending and in how much time will you get break-even point. That way you will also get to know how long you should keep your car.

That's the area where the metal was completely rusted. That entire chunk almost up to the glass leaving about 2.5 inches from the corner.

WHOA ! This looks like it has gone through a really rough time !

Mine's nowhere close to this, there's no sign of rust from the outside, but its from within, just a tiny place, will click the pics tomorrow morning as ill be removing the rubber gasket and re pasting it with 3bond.

Now im sceptic if water is entering from there, or from the read windsheild :Frustrati

Removing the rubber gasket and re pasting it might have little or no effect. There is a particular area underneath the area marked in the image I have attached. Check this area thoroughly as there are factory welded joints here that are prone to rusting. I had a leakage from here too. Little Mseal and it worked.

The Suspension of my city is due for repairs. But before I go ahead would like to research thoroughly on what set up is the best in terms of make and their respective durability. Also what would be the cost of the front as well as the rear for complete replacements. And which places do you'll suggest I take her to. Somewhere in andheri,santacruz,bandra,juhu,khar etc.
I the last garage I checked at told me they would put some make called munjal Showa or something like that.

Munjal Showa is OEM Honda. If you can verify that the parts are original and brand new, they are good for a stock Honda being used as a daily driver.

hi guys,just got the suspension on my ohc vtec overhauled.Used TRW struts this time and the car feels a lot more planted and tighter.Bought 4 pieces for 7400rs. Also the lower arms, ball joints, tie rod ends were replaced.
The steering rack was leaking so got it overhauled and the oil seals changed.Got the steering rack removed from the car and myself took it to a place in palika bhawan,opposite hyatt hotel.They worked on it for about 2 hours and then tested it and it worked pefectly.And the best part was that they charged only 2500rs for this job and provided a 6 months warranty.Normally,garages charge no less than 6-7k for a similar job.I paid 7500 for the same job last time at a private garage and it leaked again in a few months.So getting it done for 2500rs was a very good deal.

How can one check if the cat-con is choked? I mean symptoms and signs.
Also what difference does it make if I remove it altogether rather replacing it.

Has anyone put any ancillary lights in the cabin. The standard I have are the roof light and the reading lamp at the back.
In my Ohc I have put under dash lighting. I'm looking for something to replace the roof lamp. Maybe change the bulb or change the fitting etc. I'm not looking for some cheap stuff like in the taxi's. I want something which would look neat and of good quality.
If any of you'll have any ideas or done anything similar do post some pics up here.
