In my Ohc I have put under dash lighting. I'm looking for something to replace the roof lamp. Maybe change the bulb or change the fitting etc. I'm not looking for some cheap stuff like in the taxi's. I want something which would look neat and of good quality.
If any of you'll have any ideas or done anything similar do post some pics up here.

A little late.. but what the hell.. been crazy busy lately. As Desmosedici said.. I too swapped the original for the white LED's for the roof light. It is the best alternative to the original. Brightness is better than the stock lamp.. but not all that bright... prolly cos the covering glass/plastic is not clear but semi opaque in my car. Basically.. it's an improvement.

Also they're small enough and take up less than the original lamp does.. so if your electrician/mech is good & you find that a single set of the LED's don't do it for you.. just get him to connect 2 sets together & LET THERE BE LIGHT! lol:

Any idea how much should a wiper motor cost?

Hello there, are you sure your motor has gone kaput, because I thought mine had gotten spoilt too.Until the first time they checked it was the link arms.
The second time I thought it had gone kaput again. But then a thorough service job and it was back to normal.
I reckon it should cost anywhere between 2.5 to 3.5. If budgets a constraint then go in for a used one which normal comes with a six month warranty by word of mouth.
But first do the homework. It might save you a couple of hundreds here and there.

All the best on planning a new FFE, Yes that note is what we die for, mine has an exclusive low end and a quite purr that is too good.. try and see if you can work on the FE as well, I'm guessing that 9 is a bit low.. do other Vtecs with FFE give only so much?

Thanks Bro!

I have identified a really good CNG installation guy and am hopeful that he knows his job well.

Are your efficiency figures with 100% AC in traffic? If yes thats great!

Looking for more feedback.

Did you CNGed it yet?

Actually, when i switch on the wiper, there is smoke coming from the dashboard. Plus, the speed of the wiper at the highest setting has also reduced considerably.

Mine isn't a VTEC, it's a regular 1.5 Exi.. previously I used to get 11 with FFE in total city traffic runs with AC on..

I think first you should tell the mechanic to get it serviced and also let them check your wiper link arms. If your motor can't be fixed you might have to replace it. Also open the bonnet and check the exact location of the smoke. If possible take pictures.

Last week my OHC started making a strange sound when changing gears or sudden foot removal while accelerating. It sounded like a small BOV but I knew something was wrong. Friday night a more grinding/clanking/cluttering sort of sound started coming from under the hood. I checked and could it point it to the pulley, though I checked under the body and everywhere else too to rule out other possibilities.

I slowly drove the car back home (from office) which is about 5 kms. By this time the sound had peaked.

Called the mechanic home who saw and said the timing needs to be opened, the pulley is the culprit and after opening is when we can say what the matter is. Could be just a loose bolt or if the bearing etc is broken. Said its OK to drive verly slowly and get the car to them (3kms away).

I took the car there and after opening up we saw that the main pulley (on which all 3 belts are placed) had massive play and was the culprit. Ok, so then the bolt that held the pulley refused to open! Saw that it would loosen up to a stage and then started tightening again! He said that if I try harder, the bolt will possibly break and then the engine will have to be brought down - opened to get the new bolt fitted by the lathe guy etc etc etc. Tried heating up the bolt for it to expand and loosen etc too but then Nightmare.. it broke!

The pulley fell down and 60% of it's grinders/teeth were polished :(

She's being operated upon now.. More info later.

Chances are, the threads in the crank are destroyed due to the hack job done by the mechanic. I'm pretty sure the notch that the woodruff key sits into is destroyed as well. No other reason why your crank pulley would be wobbling.

If the crank is damaged, which I believe it might be, you are going to end up spending quite a bit of money.

Thanks, Pranav. I have a lot of questions so will be calling you when you said.

The mechanic has pointed the problem out to an uneven and incorrect bolt fitting/tightening when I got the timing belt+bearing changed last year. Says it left the pulley tight but not in the correct position and the threads in the pulley have vanished and caused the wobble, including the play and the unopenable bolt.

Even i had felt that my wiper motor was gone. But got the wiper area opened and saw that lot of leaves had jammed the arms. Cleaned it up and used WD40 and some diesel to clean it up, then used some oil to keep it lubricated and it works fine now. Got all this done by the small neighbourhood garage for 100 bucks.

Any recommended local workshop/service center to fix the O2 Sensor at Cochin. I bought it from amazon and HASS refuse to fix it as the part is purchased from outside, how can i buy the part from them because they charge 18 k and an original Denso product from Amozon shipped to my Cochin address for just Rs 3300 including the shipping + Import duty.
