2024 models have rear seat belt reminder plus driver attention warning in addition to the electric seats, amplifier, subwoofer and footwell lighting.

It is there from the obd2 revision that took place last year. My car has it, it is an April 2023 manufactured car.

You need to enable China variant in VCDS tweaks to get the rpm meter on older cars.

'China variant' adds RPM meter on the top to the digital speedo screen, not the one seen here, the analogue type speedo screen with rpm meter in the bottom.

Thats surprising. Mine is mid-March 2023 manufactured GT, OBD2 and E20 compliant, and I dont have rear seatbelt reminders. Can you please post a snapshot of the rear seatbelt reminders in your cluster?

Sure, here it is:

Also, I got the puddle lamps installed from PPS Skoda, Mysore Road today. Costed me 3999 and installation took about 45 mins. Nothing was charged for the installation.

Thanks. I guess VW started providing this much later than Skoda. Mine is a Virtus GT Plus.

Is it working for 10 inch infotainment?

Re: VW Virtus - Tweaks, Mods & Adaptations using VCDS

Hi friends, I am looking at just disabling the speed chimes on the Virtus (Obd2 model) as it is really taking away from the driving experience (90% highway usage). Is there a quick and easy way to do this? Or is the only option to shell out 8-10k for Instagram coders / buying own device?
I am based in Bangalore if that helps.

Coding is the ideal solutions as it will help you unlock few other features. However if you're only interested in getting the speed chimes disabled then DM me. I have a OBD device through which it can be disabled , it works on my slavia so don't see a reason why it wouldn't work on your Virtus.

Thanks Gotham, DMed you. Yes, the speed chimes seem to be the worst offenders to me right now. The others are good to have, but can wait.

I finally got around to downloading the adpmap for my Virtus GT. Attaching the same here.

Can you please help me figure out why I get "Function not available" message when I try to access climate in vehicle settings menu in infotainment system?

Please ignore the data bus error - I had set it to Infotainment bus as a trial and reverted it back to Comfort Data bus. AC settings are visible and work through infotainment, Only the climate settings in vehicle setting option doesnt work.

Looking forward to seeing your analysis. Thanks a lot for your help

I park my car in my driveway, engine first. The front bumper would be about a feet away from the wall. So, the car thinks that there is not enough lighting and keeps displaying this pesky "Switch on light" message on the Instrument Cluster. So, here is what I did -

Steps -
  • Start VCDS, after connecting to car (with ignition on) & laptop
  • Click on Select button under Control Modules
  • Click on 09 Cent. Elect.
  • Click on 16 Security Access and enter 31347. You should get a pop-up that it is accepted.
  • Click on 10 Adaptations
  • In the channels drop down, select ENG126818-Außenlicht_uebergreifend-Fahrlichtwarnung_Hinweis_Konfig
  • Change the value from in 0 and SL position to not_active and click Do It
I accidentally pressed the OK button on steering wheel today before turning in the lights and this message disappeared giving back full functionality of information cluster without needing any of the above adaptations.

what a complex system VW has designed. We really need a user manual!

You can take out all those notifications by pressing the center button on the steering. Only the warning symbol will remain. Same thing works for the exit warning that beeps when you open driver door with engine on.
