It's recommended to use the OWS engine protector with the fresh engine oil after using OWS engine flush.Best for engines with sticky HLAs or which have missed a oil change.More often than less the HLAs loosen up aften running the engine for a while.HLA replacements tend to expensive as it is recommended to replace all of them together. Not a surefire remedy, some cases might require replacement but like I said,I've had success so far.....

Its a good decesion, it does help in the long run to maintain a clean and healthy breathing engine. Do repeat it every 20k kms, weve been offering carbon clean services in our workshop for the last 8 years and not a single complaint so far, all cars are running great! You could however bargain with the delaer, it should ideally not cost you more than Rs.1850 including taxes on your marina.

Normally I only fill XtraPremium at the same station.

If De-carb is due @25k then go for it !!

I did a decarb in October and then I felt the need to do it again at the service last time because I had travelled interstate a few times and used various sources of fuel. My dad felt it was unecessary but we did it anyway.

Hyundai santro decarb @ rs 1200.

Hey Souljah, you have mentioned in your previous post Hyundai santro decarb @ rs 1200.

Is this the cost for getting car decarbonised from an authorised Hyundai Service centre?

Hey autopsyche..thanks for the info....does decarb cost changes from car to car? I mean is it different for santro, zen , indica and so on?

if yes...what it would cost for dcarb of hyundai santro?

Cheers,
Amit

Hi

Where in bangalore can we get a decarbonisation done? Is it always clubbed with a service or can it be done separately? What parts, apart from the engine oil, need to be replaced if the decarbonisation separately?

Carbon Clean in Bombay ...

Hi,

Where can we get Carbon Clean done in Bombay (Bandra / Khar / Santacruz / Juhu)? I'd gotten it done in Santacruz (2 bldgs away from the police station) about 11 years back.

Also, where can one get OWS, & what does it cost?

Need answers soon boys - really need this done on my Lancer.

Thanks.

Hi,

Any authorised service centre should do the carbon cleaning for you. There are several private garages who do it also but dont know any in that area.
