Re: Shuddering/Vibrations while braking! Need help!

I had a similar issue with My accent Viva with ABS, Initially i thought its the break pads issue, so got it changed, The problem was not solved, Then got the Disks resurfaced, issue resolved, You don't have to change the disks for such a small issues.

Re: Shuddering/Vibrations while braking! Need help!

As a rule of thumb, if you car has major shuddering only when braking, the reason is generally a warped disc/rotor. It could be that you need to change the brake pads if the rotor is OK.

Another possibility, though much rarer is that of something (usually small stones) getting stuck in between the pads and disc.

An unbalanced wheel will result in shuddering all the time.

Bolero Brake shuddering

Hello this is my first ever thread on Team bhp i am in a need of a suggestion

I have a bolero 2010Lx di turbo i visited the agency few days back i witnessed a shuddering while braking i told the same to the agency, they told me to get the disc rotors changed.
I got the disc rotors as well as brake pads changed but the problem still prevails, When i asked the mechanic he said since the disc is new it would take some time to get the disc adjusted. 100 km or so.

What should i do ? or what more can i get checked, any suggestions?

If there is shudder inspite of new parts, then you need to look at following starting with

1- if the parts were indeed changed on both sides?
2- How about the rear brakes?
3- Was the installation correct?
4- Brake calliper, steering, suspension buts and wheel hubs / bearings are they in good condition?
5- Wheel condition including tyre, rim and balancing?
6- All nuts tightened evenly and to spec at axle and wheels.

In normal circumstance brake pads may be little ineffective at best without full bedding and that should not cause shudder.
