Re: My Suzuki Swift ZDI - 2011

Many congratulations on your new car. It looks beautiful. The old swift looked a little quirky when it initially came out, but then once we started seeing more of them on the roads, people started liking it. I'm sure you will start loving the new one more than the old one pretty shortly (more so with 90,000 pending bookings, must be a record of sorts!!!).

About the glove box, I vaguely remember the old swift too had a similar design. Mine had some uneven panel gaps which was very evident in that area.

You are staying in probably the most beautiful place in TN (Going by your location), so just get around in your new car and post some more photographs of your beauty.

Wishing you a very pleasant ownership experience.

Congratz! Lovely looking car, old Swift has become too common and the changes are refreshing especially the interiors and the equipment. Definite thumbs up! Hope MUL sorts out the labor issues and streamline the production for the amazing booking back logs.

Do keep updating the experience and we need more pictures!

Re: My Suzuki Swift ZDI - 2011

Congratulations, nice review and nice color. Swift is one drivers car and the new launch has only made it better. Its good that you decided early to have the Diesel as it seems now there is 6months waiting to get one possible due to demand and shortage of supply, read in the papers that the dealers have stopped booking for Swift (Not sure only Diesel of Petrol as well).

Congrats on your new buy! I didn't like the rear too, but the interiors look better!

I understand the mods are to be out soon with a review, but it was not fair to have kept us waiting this long after launch. At least the reason should have been made public, but Im sure it will be good when its out.

Re: My Suzuki Swift ZDI - 2011

Congratulations Beejay. Nice write up. The car deserves much better pics.
Could you also include the pics for the space in the back seat after the drivers seat is adjusted to your comfort ? I am presuming you are 5 ' 10

The UK Swift has white fonts and illumination for the MID. That looks great. Too bad Maruti changed it to Orange for us. But I am glad Maruti didn't fiddle with the interiors and exteriors much. No chrome or beige attack. The main change is only the alloy. Thank God for that.

I read somewhere that Maruti increased the ground clearance of the car by 30mm to tackle our roads. So, the side profile is a bit awkward as the 15" wheels are a tad too small and the car sits too tall. The new Swift can easily take in 16" but that very good ride will suffer.

. The white illumination in previous model looked nice and more lively. Orange,IMO looks damp.

With bigger wheel wells, there is ample scope to upgrade the wheels and the higher GC,if true is a welcome move

Re: My Suzuki Swift ZDI - 2011

A few outdoor pictures.

Old gen Swift owners who drive my car immediately feel that the car is bigger than their old one.

More detailed write up after my trip this weekend.

Thanks.

Nice pictures beejay. The car looks nice against the backdrop of the hills. Will look forward to your detailed write up after the weekend trip.

What FE figures are you currently getting? How are the NVH levels? I assume the build quality is better than the old Swift and no squeaks or rattles have surfaced.
