More detailed write up after my trip this weekend.
Thanks.
White looks beautiful. I have booked metallic torque blue, though haven't seen the colour on the road. will change to white if blue is not as I expect it to be.

Did you get the user manual? Can you comment on the service intervals? For the free (3?) and paid services. have asked this question in other swift threads too, but couldn't get a reply.

How is the build quality till now?

Are you still on stock tyres? Is it satisfactory or upgrade is necessary?

Thanks in advance. :-)

What FE figures are you currently getting? How are the NVH levels? I assume the build quality is better than the old Swift and no squeaks or rattles have surfaced.
No squeaks as of now. Build quality is way better than the old gen. Panel gaps are minimal and car feels solid.

1st service at 1000kms
2nd service at 5000kms
3rd service at 10000kms, all three free.

Bilud quality is good, better than the old gen.

I am still on stck tyres, they feel satisfactory, however I am planning an upgrade soon to 16 inch.

How is it to drive around the steep inclines of Ooty? Do you have a service centre up there?

Re: My Suzuki Swift ZDI - 2011

Dear Beejay,
It is an awesome beautiful car. The consumption too seems very good. I am planning for the change to swift from Ritz. But My Ritz VDI gives a very good milage. That makes my booking delay. My Ritz completed 60K Kms but still the milage is 23 kms per liter of diesel. So I will book in November and get it in March. I too love your white. Let me give my belated congratulation on your new comer with four wheels.Don't you feel the boot is bit small.

Re: My Suzuki Swift ZDI - 2011

Thanks 'beejay' for this detailed review. I have been a great swift fan and I am happy with my decision of booking Swift Zdi.

I am not very much sure as to when would mine be delivered. At the time of booking I was told late November, but i am pretty much sure that it might extend due to the labor unrest at MS Facility.

Completely agree with you. The build quality and NVH are better. The panel gap at the boot (near the tail lamp) could have been better.

If you notice carefully, they have smartly passed it off as "1st free checkup", "2nd free checkup", etc. Not sure if that is a problem. I am giving out my car for the first free checkup on Sunday. Will get an oil and oil filter change done.

Re: My Suzuki Swift ZDI - 2011

Dear Beejay,
It is told that there are 140 changes in this New swift. If that is so it is counted on ZXI and Zdi. We knew the body length,Breadth stretch, Boot space reduction.Tail lamp update. The Interior seats,Audio control on steering and the suspension. The pop up cup holder and aluminum lining in cabin are known. Are there any other changes you can feel and see in your car. Please let us know. Many are looking to switch for this car. It will be a good help to our members.

Re: My Suzuki Swift ZDI - 2011

Belated Congrats Beejay. Swift is always wonderful to drive.

White is always best. Where did you book Ambal or ABT?. Ambal clearly told 5 months waiting period and no waiver.

Please clarify on rear seats, leg room and boot space with more pictures. Checked with Popular Motors - Chennai, the answer is "No test drive Sir"

Thanks. I will be taking delivery at Trivandrum and driving to chennai. Hence the doubt. (Although i have no idea when my car will finally arrive!)

After 10000 kms, i assume its the usual 10k kms service interval.

Usual with Maruti Suzuki. Even our old M800 had 3 free services, and rest paid services.

Congrats moralfibre. Looking forward to your ownership review and pics. When did you book the car, and take delivery?

They are still stating the same reason? Visited the same dealer 2 1/2 weeks back and their test drive car was not registered because of some RTO issue!

Came to my native - Trivandrum, and Popular Motors - Trivandrum drove 11 kms and brought the diesel version to my house the next working day.

I was told that the new swift still does not use synthetic oil. Is this information correct? Kindly enlighten me.

Re: My Suzuki Swift ZDI - 2011

It seems though there is maintenance of cleanliness with white car it seems white is the best color for swift.I had a look at ABT. The boot seems bit smaller than the old version.Leg space for rear passengers improved.Tyre size is same as old.I wanted a test drive and the answer was that the demo car did not come.Let us wait for the demo car to come and I will spend a hour or two inspecting all 140 changes and do test drive.

Is Stock size 14 or 15" ? IMO 16 would be overkill for this car besides making the ride stiffer.

The stock alloys on the ZDi are 15" with a full size spare.
