re: Tata Safari Storme : Test Drive and Review. More pics: pg 47

WOW, Strome looks very classy but does not seem to have the rugged and tough look which Safari boasts off. anyways Safari still is a very viable option esp looking at the starting price of storme and rightly so, if TML price the Storme any lower then they would have to rework/lower the price of Safari, Grande and Sumo...

In the technical specifications comparison , they have mentioned - 2.2L, mHawk VGT Diesel Engine - as Emission Norm Compliance.

Hope that is the only QC niggle we have in the entire TATA Safari Storme product and its launch.

Looks like TATA has goofed up big time designing the "comparison chart"

1. Seems like TML are not aware about the number of cylinders and the fuel supply system on the truck.
2. "Emission norm compliance" row info does not need any explanation

Am sure already they would have printed the brochures in big numbers....

If this is not a feature why list it on the first palace. Hope the QC is missed in the website only and not on the actual car

A whois lookup for the site gives following info.

Domain name: tatasafari.com

Registrant Contact:
Tata Motors Ltd
Mr. Arup ()

Fax:
24 Homy Modi Street
Mumbai, 400001
IN

If this is not a genuine site , then it is registered fraudulently !

PS : I see the pages rendered are different now. Guess they are watching this thread closely

www.tatasafari.com is a tata website at least that what the whois lookup and the disclaimer page and the privacy policy page say.

For some reason I do not see any info related to the Storme on the website. Have they taken that down?

I still like the old Safari. This new one looks hideous.

OT--Having issues since yesterday in quoting a post. Trying now from another laptop. Hope this works.

Awesome catch. Even better was "Gear Shifer Knob" present in all variants. The lord be praised - who could have ever thought that Tata would come up with such a cutting edge technology? And who could have thought that Tata would have made it standard fitment across all models - what farsightedness I say! Tata must truly be commended for such cutting edge features!

A side note :

Is it that a lot of people are mistyping STORME as STROME on previous posts ? ...

Or is it that people actually think that it is the latter spelling ?
