No information on exact prices, only information is it will not be more than Cruze/fluence....lets wait and see.

On the interiors, its simply super, it looks very premium, the ventilated seats are good. DIS is driver information system.

The plastic is also very good, in some areas it also beats sonata like plastic finishing.

Vehicle is ready for test drive and will be available from monday or tuesday.

Also, there is auto wiper & headlamps.

Wait period is 2months for delivery.

There is no sun blinds as its there in fluence,

ECO option can be operated from the button on the steering.

Only thing not sure is the ground clearance....is it better than fluence????

2 MONTHS!? Thats a lot... they must be aiming for Navratras.

What about the similarities between verna and elantra, do you feel elantra has a bigger and grander presence or looks way too similar to verna and lacks the grandness one would expect?

Wow......Price it below Cruze and it will eat the sales of SX and SX(O) of Verna, resulting in discounts for the same.

(Please Hyundai do this. Its a request as I want to buy Verna SX(O) )

re: Driven: 5th-gen Hyundai Elantra

An excellent review and some exciting pictures(Great pictures).

The car is fully packed. I am surprised at the amount of equipment this car carries. Rear vents, full size alloy spare and features that even the Jetta carries.

I can compare it with my 2010 jetta and can say some features almost resemble what the Jetta carries.

The petrol engine could sell more is what i feel.

The pricing of this car can generate great sales volume.

The car is looking fantastic and i hope they price it right...

Hyundai internal sales training document for Elantra. Detailed explanation of everything. See page 7 for proposed positioning of Elantra w.r.t its competitors.

re: Driven: 5th-gen Hyundai Elantra

Thanks ! Very insightful. I attended the launch in Mumbai and the car did looked gorgeous. However, the head room is very little in front and even lesser in the rear. Very difficult for 6 foot plus people to feel comfortable on bumpy roads.

Regards

re: Driven: 5th-gen Hyundai Elantra

Nothing is official till 12 noon today (13-08-12) not even Motorbash. It is just some website trying to get internet traffic by breaking an "almost certain" price. Let's hope it is competitively priced and a direct competition to Cruze, Fluence and Altis (in pricing domain) and an indirect competitor to Laura, Jetta etc
