If they are injectors then it means there are petrol injectors as what I can understand from your post is that you are getting Cng kit installed in your civic. If so then there is no reason to worry as with the kit new injectors are installed which are used for CNG. Considering post conversion you will hardly be driving on petrol then you can live with it rather than spending that amount.

Re: Frankmehta's Practical Workhorse: Honda Civic AT CNG. EDIT: Sold!

Sorry Saurabh - it's ignition coil. The four which go into the black box.
Arunji has offered to source it as below -
1. Hitachi Ignition Coils at 3000 Rs each, x 4 = 12000 approximate [difficult to get though]
2. Denso - 4500 each - 18K total damage.

I have reached out to a pal who is helping me source it online, and I have placed the order on AliExpress. Lets see when it lands at my door but the price is dirt cheap compared to what Solitaire Borivali had to offer - 28K for 4 units of ignition coil !!

OK. Keep us posted on the cost and the difference you felt after that. Can you share the link of aliexpress as the same might be useful for others.

Do note the price indicated on website is incorrect - it is per piece and not per lot.

Re: Frankmehta's Practical Workhorse: Honda Civic AT CNG. EDIT: Sold!

I had experienced a little shuddering [right word?] post CNG fixing, however as per Mr.Arun, one of the reason was the different makes of ignition coil I had, and he had suggested to install DENSO original make or Hitachi which are cheaper.

On installation of all 4 Denso, I could immediately notice the different, you can feel the power. Well paisa vasool is my reaction right now

I intend to get some more stuff slowly for my civic, will keep you posted.

Regards

Gary

AliExpress ignitors and injectors are good buys. As long as the sellers guarantees that they're not refurbished or used

Yes, Frank, Aliexpress itself guarantees the same and helps in case of any dispute, but the pieces that I received were brand new. No issues here.

Imagine the margins, that our guys in the market make...

Re: Frankmehta's Practical Workhorse: Honda Civic AT CNG. EDIT: Sold!

Hi Friends,

Received the RTO registration slip, unfortunately the fitment date is mentioned as October 2012. This is a major slip up and I would blame this squarely on Arun Jain, as now I feel that he delegates and trusts his staff too much.

The fact which I highlighted earlier, about not being told in advance, a phone call could have helped, regarding the ignition coil is something that I can overlook but a goof up in paperwork, we cannot.

Post my sms, a lady called me up from AJ office, and asked me to collect the metal strip immediately - I want to check whether the metal strip has the same fitment date written or not. She said that she has spoken to the RTO agent, and a correction could be made on the slip with RTO stamp.

Let's see how it goes - any views or suggestions on the procedure ?

Regards

Gary

How are the coils performing ? It's almost 2 months since you are running on them, feedback will be appreciated. Also does your car ever stalled before the change of these coils?

Re: Frankmehta's Practical Workhorse: Honda Civic AT CNG. EDIT: Sold!

I had once inquired about Ignition Coils at a spare shop in Khar(Regal Motors) they mentioned they have YEC coils a set of four for around 11k. YEC is a Japanese co which makes Ignition Coils for Honda. If my Coils go out in the future I may consider this. As of now still running on OE coils and hope i don't have to change them.

Touchwood no issues whatsoever. Before the change, I had experienced an issue of stuttering as if the car loses power and then suddenly gains power. It is than that the mechanic discussed about the coils and observed that they were of different make and asked me to change them to Denso.

Did not quite get you, but if you are mentioning about whether there was anything on the display panel - nope, nothing of that sort.

Let me know in case I am missing something.

Something like below in the instrument panel.
As long as there is no light on it should be fine. I am thinking of going for the same coils but not sure. I hope you havent faced any issues post fixing. How many kms you have done post fixing the coils ?Frankmehta's Practical Workhorse: Honda Civic AT CNG. EDIT: Sold!-tmp_19041images1292654463.jpeg
