Also, what about the tyre life? The Bridgestone Duelers are doing great, but I wonder if the rubber has aged enough to be replaced?

Mine is a Diesel AT, brake pads replaced at 30k and then 57k with 60:40 highway:city running. The usage in traffic for the second time reduced life substantially.

But my brakes are squealing at crawling speeds(only under 10km/h), does anyone have a solution ?

I feel the price is on higher side. I bought a new one in Feb. 2019 for Rs.15 lacs OTR. This model was with some further changes like LED taillamp.
But I guess Creta has good demand & pre-owned price also depends on that. You may check more options.

I'm hearing a hissing sound, like air escaping, when I idle Panda (2017 Creta Petrol Manual). I haven't noticed this before and it comes from underbody towards the rear of vehicle. There are no warning signs on the dashboard and no tyres have lost pressure.

The sound from the exhaust is the same since purchase (read very soft and almost muted) and same with the engine noise. The cooling of ACC and brakes all work as normal.

Is this normal or should I be taking Panda to ASC?

If it's audible and you noticed it, then it's not normal. Check the engine temperature and coolant level. I suspect a leak in any of the pipe/hose.

Do check it with HASS and keep us updated.

I have done a shorter drive of around 40kms and haven't noticed any abnormalities in engine/oil temperature. Coolant level is also at full in reservoir. There is no visible leak in engine bay or where the car is parked.

For the time being I'm stumped. I have a kochi trip coming up and if it shows any issues during the drive I'll get it checked at kochi.

Thank You, could you please suggest any other options?

Can anyone help me with the part number for 'clean silver alloys' that came with the gen 1 pre-facelift Creta. It's the 16 inch one. Picture attached.

I was thinking about getting the spare steel wheel changed to alloy so that I can do five wheel tyre rotation. Thanks in advance.

The first gen Creta had few issues with the AVN and mine started developing display issues last year, then slowly some of it's functions started to develop issues. Eventually, the display was completely out.

Got it repaired by sending it to Delhi. For folks who got similar issues, here's the full report - https://www.team-bhp.com/forum/long-...ml#post5327244

252k up in Creta 1.6, no issues, no complaints, total satisfaction.

An Alcazar joined to share the duties 3 weeks back so this one gets home duties now.

Common issue plaguing many Hyundai's . Got mine changed for 10k but was for an I10.

That's quite an epic number! Congratulations, as a guy who owns a 2.5 years old 1.4 Creta it feels nice to see the numbers it can do. I've already touched 105k kms in this time so really appreciate the 200k kms plus posts. Can you please confirm when was the timing belt kit changed? Any major expenses incurred. Also when was the clutch plate kit changed? I know the 1.4 is mechanically quite different from the 1.6 b but still any info is most welcome. Thanks.

Hi Guys,

It’s been a long time since I’ve been active here, I just wanted to post a quick update.
The steering column issues crept in one again and the same old kat-kat noise started to pester the enthusiast in me.
Took the car for servicing a month back and discussed it with my SA at Mahadev Hyundai, Faridabad about the recurring problem. He was the one who got the column replaced under warranty 2 years back and since my warranty was expired, he told me that he will try to get it changed under goodwill by writing a mail to Hyundai India about the problem which has been in my car since the start.
He dropped and email and after 3 days he called me up and told me that the part has been approved and will be replaced free of cost by Hyundai.
He called me up a day before yesterday and told me that the part has arrived and I can bring the car the next day to get it replaced, which I promptly did and the problem is now finally gone, fingers crossed and I’m really happy to be driving my car without that noise.

Attaching a few pictures, sorry for the resolution of the said pictures.

Had the same experience for my i10 somewhere around the same km. Tried to do a repair job (welding) at a local garage but did not last long. I could distinctly hear the coarse sound due to exhaust line leakage. Finally replaced at the ASS for around Rs.12k. Reason given by SA for failure was exposure to wet running conditions! Anyway, this was the only part changed untimely during the car's 5 year - 60km run. So I was overall happy with Hyundai's durability & reliability.
