That's great FE.

My car is giving between 10.2 to 11.9 kmpl in city traffic with 100% AC (chauffeur-driven always).

Re: Review: My 2018 Maruti Suzuki Ertiga ZXi AT

I have observed that running AC has extreme effect on fuel efficiency. Is this true for any car or something specific to Ertiga. Large cabin volume could be one of the reasons.

It is common in any car. But with the UV's and SUV's having larger cabins, the A/C compressor has to run for a longer period to achieve the same temperature as compared to a hatchback/sedan causing drop in FE.

We set the ACC at 23-24 degrees centigrade during usage.

Did you check the actual FE by tank to tank method? I am asking this because my Honda City AT (Torque converter, 5 forward) gives no more than 10 kmpl in city. With CNG it extracts around 14 km\kg.

I had checked using the tankful method. With tank to tank method it is 0.8 kmpl less than what is displayed on the MID.

Sorry for going OT, but are you using CNG with City AT? Asking this because all my life i have assumed that CNG and AT's dont go well together. The drop in power with CNG, combined with AT losses should be pretty bad.

If you ever travel to Bangladesh you'll see every car running on CNG and they're all automatics.

To my pleasant surprise, as I checked, the actual mileage during the same run by full tank-to-tank method came to 13.7kmpl!

Car has now run more than 6.5k KMS.
I am happy

Will it not impact the warranty? I too am very much interested in installing this.

Please share your review.

I also wanted to add on some beautification from XL6 but was snubbed by the Nexa SA saying none of the parts will fit.

My wish list:
-- Vertical part of tail lamp
-- Roof rail
-- Wheel arch cladding
-- any other.

Any comments, feedback from anyone?

Shouldn't cause an issue if splicing is not done and wiring is made plug and play types. Moreover, I'll be using OEM camera too so it should be good I guess.

I too am interested in it but haven't thought much on it as it isn't that critical.

I have done pretty close to 30,000 Kms on CNG. The AT adjusts the gearshifts based on the load and power available automatically hence the lack of power in CNG mode is not as pronounced as in a manual geared vehicle. On highways I get anywhere close to 23-24 km per kg with speeds of 100-120 kmph, similar speeds on petrol yield only 16-17kmpl on highway.

Re: Review: My 2018 Maruti Suzuki Ertiga ZXi AT

Had a minor incident during lockdown while going to buy essentials.

Damage to car: RHS ORVM glass shattered. Rest part of the ORVM is fine and functioning well.

After waiting for lockdown to ease, went to MGP near my house and asked them for the part, after they went through their database, I got the part in hand after 2 days.

After reaching home, found the part doesn't match and wouldn't fit. Cross checked the part number in Boodmo too but that part is different than what is on the car.

Went back to the MGP outlet, they were surprised and asked to get the picture of the sticker that is located under the ORVM casing

They checked their database and have asked me to take the car to a dealer where two pieces of this item is there but they are not sure if it is the compatible one available or the same as I bought.

Current odometer reading is nearing 18,000 kms.

Hi Anurag,
Are you done with this mod? If yes pls share your inputs, although I have already installed a generic reverse camera but I am looking to change it to a more wider camera.

The shipment didn't get delivered so the MOD is pending still.

I'll be sourcing OEM camera + wiring harness once the IRVM is delivered. I am not sure looking at the current situation anything from AliExpress would reach the doorstep (fingers crossed!).
