Linea, My quenched desire. EDIT : 20,000 kms update!

Drove back home in a sparkling Minimal Grey MJD Emotion Pack LINEA on 16 Mar. Waited for 26 days from booking to delivery and more than 1 year prior to that.
Cheers and thanks to team-bhp for the 100 million posts on Linea the 1 billion thread bashings, i was finally able to take a 'Stand'.

Quality
Build quality is quite solid and most departments excel in look and feel (apart from few flimsy plastic components). The engine bay is most assuring of all with all components neatly spread and a big engine / tranny guard at the bottom. Most parts are neatly marked/labelled and a big sticker under the hoods holds explanation to all the legends.

Noise
This is my first diesel, still getting use to the noise factor specially when windows are down at idling, using the music system to neutralize it. Experienced diesel vehicle owners may be in a better position to analyze and would have something to compare against.

Drive
Have clocked 250 Kms in 3 days, getting a FE of 15 kpl with AC in Bangalore City driving conditions. According to the Trip Meter average fuel consumption "AcA 6.5 l/100". Planning on a highway trip this weekend, will return with the figures later on that.
Suspension is quite good and has a solid feel to it, body roll is minimal. Car responded well to sudden flicks of the steering.

Space/Comfort
Quite spacious, i'm 6'3" had no problem in finding my ideal seating position. Rear tends to be a little cramped with the drivers seat all the way back. Drivers arm rest is a intrusion, seats the gear changing hand at a very awkward position. Boot is humongous period. My 5 year old could easily spread inside. Thoughtful provision of hooks in the boot. Big 195 tires add to the drive feel.
Blue&Me is a life saver, my Blackberry had no problems pairing. To be honest I quite enjoy taking calls on the speakers, quite addictive though.

Looks
Couldn't ask for more, with alloys the damn thing looks even more elegant.

At the end, boy I'm having the time of my life ! More later.

True that. Linea was launched just last month and I've seen soo many on the roads already - as many as the ANHCs or maybe that's a bit of an exaggeration. Maybe there are a few lineas in my locality and i keep seeing them over and over agian....

Congrats! Quite a few positives there for you. I like the vanity mirror system on the visor. Blue&me is another one. Great color, best variant chosen. Congrats again!

Its raining lineas here at TBHP!
Is there some kind of deal that has been worked out between Fiat and TBHP!!
Is the B pillar blackening part of the original car look?
