Ron, which tyre make is there in your City. I just saw my City in stock yard, it was Michelin, i saw another car with MRF ZVTS and other with Good year .
I heard Michelin tyres were put only for 09 models. Then why other 2 brands??

Thanks Ishaan. But do other cars also have more than 1 brand as standard fitting? The dealer did mention Michelin was better compared to other 2 .

Yes, lots of cars come with multiple brands for eg. the Civic is fitted with Goodyear NCT5, Bridgestone B250 & Michelin MXV8.

Mine are MRF ZVTV. I didn't know there was a Michelin option - three cars i saw were MRFs. Good that you got Michelins.

My 2002 Palio, run for around 36K now are still running on stock Bridgestones and still good (checked it during last service in Dec 08).

Is MRF reliability bad?

GC Update

A good news on the GC Side:
Today i drove the around with 4 adults+1 kid with 3 luggage in the trunk. I expecting it to bottom out at the speed breakers, but pleasantly surprises that it didn't. Of course i did stop down to a crawl at some vicious ones, but this gives me a much better confidence.

I remember scraping a few of them during my NHC testdrive (4+1 but no luggage), so i have good enough reason to believe ANHC might be a little better compared to NHC in this regard despite having the same GC.

That's good news! So far, all Hondas in India, barring the CRV had GC probelms big time. A colleague of mine who owns a Civic says sometimes--'why the heck did I buy this car?'

I know a colleague who is going in for a under body protective coating on his ANHC for 12K, fearing this scraping issue. Does that help? I thought 12K for underbody coating was pretty steep!

12K? isn't that expensive? I got under body protective coating done from Magnum Honda, Bangalore yesterday for 3100 Rs.

Pardon my ignorance, but how does an under body protective coating help scraping out at speedbreakers? If there's a scraping, wont even the protection coating would be scraped off?

IIRC, its against rusting and other related stuff.

A great car for the rich and famous

This is a very unusual color and I like it...Although the pearl red one is the most I like...We have the Civic of the same color but I guess, its pretty common nowadays,so your color is nice in tat respect...

I just hope you get past 1000kms ASAP and let us know the drivin exp after tat
