Congratulations Prof!
The Superb is a great car - almost bought it last week but held off on poor feedback on After sales support

Congratulations Prof for an excellent purchase.

I also had an initial issue with trying to find the lever/button to open the boot from inside in my Laura The central lock/unlock button works now for me as it opens the boot (Even when the ignition is on) and gives a little click sound cue to the guard that now he can open from outside. It has worked so far in all the places I have been!

Cheers and enjoy,

Danc

Hey Prof, Congratulations on your new ride. I am sure you must be drooling a lot more since you wrote the review. Have fun driving around and enjoying the humongous list of gadgetries of Superb. Suberb is definitely a great car and real VFM.

Good Luck.

Do post some pictures soon.

congratulations!!! very great choice. and great sounding car.

this car i think is supercharged and turbo charged both!? i dont think mods should be done on this one. it should be left alone. and i think ice sounds good too then why mess with it. its just perfect as it is i think. !!!

congratulations again!!

Only turbocharged. It is not supercharged. The 1.4TSI is supercharged and turbo charged.

Hello prof: Congratulations on your new car!

How is the cornering ability of this car. From your posts I believe you have not had a chance to take her to the expressways. The reason why I ask is during my recent drive on the Bangalore Hosur expressway, I was constantly overtaken by a Skoda Superb and I could feel the power of the car during straight runs as it effortlessly sped past me at speeds exceeding 150 KM/H. However, during cornering I was able to easily overtake the car as it slowed down considerably everytime there was a bend approaching.

Now I am not sure if the driver in the superb was not skilled to take on the corners or it is poor handling of the car.

By the way I drive a cedia.

You can't expect a monster of that size , weight to corner as good as your Cedia right? The cedia is a gem!

The Cedia is a gem but the Superb is a diamond. The cornering stability is fantastic. The car hardly rolls with the right amount of stiffness at the same time offers a very good ride although a bit firm. The steering is just icing on the cake.

Redeff, it's the same chasis as your Audi or a Passat albeit a bit extended.

Shock and awe

I mean the same thing happens to us everyday while entering our office premises and I feel sad for the Alto owners and the Ford Ikon Flair owners(probably the only 2 cars which I saw dont have remote boot lid opener although old Ford Nxt has it)......

A 20L car with this missing?Only Skoda can do it.

However, the car is awesome. Please put some pics quickly.

Congrats on your new purchase, enjoy every bit of the experience!

The Octavia also doesnt have a boot release switch inside the car. I THINK the Laura also doesnt have one, but it does have a button on the key so that can be used, not sure though. But definately the Octy doesnt have it, has to be opened from outside.

Maybe its the case with all Skoda..
