I see you are enjoying the turbo kick a lot. Did you hear the turbo whistle?
It is just too addicting.

Congrats on the purchase

How about some pics?

Congrats on a truly *superb* acquisition, Prof. Without a doubt, the Superb is a terrific car, well-priced and loaded to the brim. It makes the previous value leader of the D segment - Honda's Accord - look overpriced and under-equipped.

A word of caution : Be exceedingly particular when you drop the car off for service / repairs. I'd also recommend JMD to you for maintenance, they have a better reputation than the rest of Skoda scum in Mumbai.

Entertaining read of a well-written review. Do keep updating us as the odo ticks on.

Answers:

I got the silver color (identical to the iridium silver on Merc)

Touchscreen is VERY BRIGHT and visible in direct sunlight (anti glare screen). It is quite responsive and the GUI is very finger friendly. Only one complaint- no hard buttons for CD Changer, so jumping from one CD to another requires moving up and down the GUI tree.

I'm seeing around 9-10 kmpl, but still on the 1st refuel. The trip computer shows an average of 9 kmpl. Interestingly theres a real-time FE readout, which is nice, helps me learn how to drive for higher efficiency.

Pictures tomorrow!

Looks fanTAStic in silver too !! I was of the opinion that it looks its part only in the Maroon/Red shade. Congratulations on owning such a nice car, you will be pleased every single time you sit in the back seat and marvel at the acres of rear legroom.

I sincerely hope your ownership experience is trouble-free and jugaad-free. This car totally deserves it, and if Skoda's current attitude continues it will do a great disservice to a wonderful product.

Please do keep us updated. Thank you for the pictures.

Edit: Just noticed the title of your previous post. Can't wait for pictures part 2 !!
