Grow taller folks

But really this is an issue in cars irrespective of the driver's height. As filcord mentioned, most modern cars have this. The upside is the pleasant rounded front end design.

Well, how many times have I felt this ? I am 6 ft and drive an Esteem which gives me immense confidence with its bonnet edges always in sight.

One fine day, I had to drive my inlaws' i10 and found it very uncomfortable for the first few kms. Got used to it after sometime though ! But nothing like the view I get in my Esteem !

I am booking a ZXi model today and have been quoted about Rs 5,24,000, yhe sales guy at T.R Sawhney said that they will give me a discount of Rs 3000-4000, by giving the Kit for Rs 1000 free and 3rd year warranty free. When I inquired from another dealer he said that T.R Sawhney would give only the 3rd year warranty book and not the warranty. He said that he is lying.

I want to make sure what I can I do get the final quote of the car on paper. Would they give me something in writing about all this ? Do I get a document stating what I am getting and what not ? Though Rs 4000 is not a handsome discount but anything coming free is welcomed. It will may just pay for the seat covers.

Help!!!

Bro one question, how to verify if I am getting the genuine Maruti 3rd year extended warranty. Two dealers told me that a dealer might just give me the booklet but the 3rd warranty won't be there. What he meant was he might try to fool me by giving the warranty booklet but not the warranty. This is really strange. How to verify the extended warranty.

del.guy its good to be paranoid. Just a little. At least you are getting something, when I booked at the beginning I did not get a single paisa in discount or otherwise except for a non-original mud flaps and mats which I declined. The third year warranty is the dealer warranty and not something given by the company I guess. Hence no company warranty booklet

With my Zxi I got a reverse horn (which quite frankly is irritating me), some "phaltoo" rubber mats and mudflaps. They don't offer any freebies, since the car is waitlisted for a month. However I got two years extended warranty for 4995/- with booklet.

Del Guy,

This generally does not happen. If the dealer tries to fool you call up the Maruti Suzuki contact person assigned to your city / dealer. He should be able to help you.

Basically the 3rd year warranty booklet should contain the warranty registration form stamped and signed by the dealer. It should contain apart from your car details, info like dealer code, valid mileage upto etc. Apart from these details filled in the booklet, the dealer also issues a contract form.

Hope this helps. I have gone in for the 3rd as well as 4th year extended warranty.

Let me know if you need further info.

Nikhil

Del Guy,

Uploading the extended warranty forms that CIL gave me.

3rd year

4th year

This should guard you against a fraud.

Have just filled up the tank, after 600 km on the odo. Average was done on full-tank to full-tank basis - came to 14.7 km/litre. This is 50/50 city/hwy mix with about 70 per cent a/c on. I'm happy!

@ns I see that you got the 4th year warranty as an afterthought. Luckily you paid the same amount as I did at the beginning.

Yeah, that was an after thought. So am not worried at all on the warranty front.

So what is the mileage that you are getting?
