Enjoy the car! The newer version is said to be much imrpoved (by Mercedes low standards, admittedly)

PS: Personally, I would pick the IS (petrol or diesel) over any C-klasse automobile; even if I was getting a C for free and had to pay for the IS.

Congrats GTO...nice choice indeed; a Merc is always an irresistible thing, with or without an offer. Whenever I hear negetive talk about a Merc, that reminds me what some people talk about the US and its policies. Hardcore critics of USA, but will go to any extent to get an H1....

i am so shocked man.

so GTO u finally got urself another Merc.i think u will find that this car has improved quality and fewer problems than ur previous merc as i had mentioned in ur Merc thread.

did u exchange ur c180 for this one+extra cash?

it must be shattering to drive with that torque and power.
my congratulations on ur purchase.

I am stunned that even after bitter experience with previous MB, you have gone for another one.

Congralutations, GTO! Have you checked when was the car manufactured? Around Jan-Feb 05, MB diesel cars had issues with Fuel pump, which caused embarassing sales collapse, leading to sacking of key people. And after that, Quality has been prime agenda for MB over last few months. (Rightly reflecting in JD Power IQS rating). I hope, your car is of the newer lot.

What was that irresistable offer which turned around a bitterly disappointed customer to happy second time owner? Is someone called Mr. Rudra Sen involved in anywhere?

Congratulations again and I guess, this new Merc has greater responsibility to appease a disgruntled owner, who surely is going to look at even smallest issue quite ruthlessly.

And what a figure it is. I can't even imagine what 340nm of torque might feel like when you hit that pedal.

hey congrats GTO.

BTW, in the 2nd pic : is the rear disc rusted? Or is that the color of the disc?

Really shocked. Congrats. The least you can do now is to delete the sticky about the problems you've had with MBIL...or make another sticky as to how helpful they've been to you.
