They're electronic with the Optra and Corolla, not automatic. You still have to push a button.

Took the C out for a weekend drive, last saturday. Gosh, if you guys thought it was impressive on the expressway (where it killed an Auto Hangar C200 K in a 0 - 200), you should check it out on a regular highway. Took only 2.5 hours to reach Nasik in the evening. And the in-gear acceleration, which is a must to overtake on our highways, is outright dominating! Adding butter is the ability to revv like a petrol until 4800 rpm. You can use gaps to overtake that are next to impossible in the Vtec.
