congrats Arishi1 way to go
Can you confirm that the mats and flaps are not those of linea's. Atleast the mud flap's should have 'Punto' badge/logo on it. Reading your discontentment with the dealer for various things, I doubt, they would have given you the original stuff.
FYI: These things are still not available in Bangalore with the dealers.

Yup the mats are some third grade cheap stuff, but what the heck I will keep it till I get some real Punto Stuff. Same is true with the flaps even though they have the Punto logo on it, but I am pretty sure those are not Genuine Punto Accessories. I hope to travel to Japan soon and will try to get some real stuff for Putno from there.

Hey Arishi!

Awesome ride! We bought a same color petrol in Pune day before. As far as the driving without a number plate is concerned, make sure you are carrying the invoice and insurance papers with you. Also make sure your insurance is active. We have taken the car without a number plate too, we were advised against taking it out of Pune city. So try not to roam about too much. Congrats on the buy!

Can you detail the prices of the accessories?

Thanks! and congrats again!

Finally I got the number plates late yesterday evening (after 5 calls and camping 1 Hour at the dealer shop). But, I am wondering the dealer should also give me some temp documentation saying my car is registered with Thane RTO and given number MH 04 XX XXXX. Instead the Dealer says you will get the RC booklet in 45 days and till that time your number is the proof that the car is registered.

The accessories (Mud Flaps & Floor Mats) were complimentary. I am now planning to get Seat Covers and Sun Films, any suggestions?

Guys today morning my worst fears of owning a brand new car came true... a Mini Bus (Contract Carriage) banged my car from the back in the busy Powai area. Have given my car to Fortune Cars Powai (being the nearest one), they are estimating three weeks for the repairs. Will post the pics and the details of the incident later in the evening. Till now this is what I have done.
1. Reported the incidence to Police - got the complaint number from the Police Station
2. Took Snaps of the Accident Scene and the bus also.
3. Have dropped the car at the Workshop.

The Service person told me they don't need the FIR, but when I called the Insurance 1800 number from the accident scene they suggested to get an FIR. Please suggest if FIR is required or should I go with the service guy. He is saying it will cost me about 3K to fix the car. I am not sure of that. Please advice.

Stupid piece of **** bus driver.

Afaik you might require an FIR to claim insurance. On the other hand, you can spend the 3k from your pocket and save up through no-claim.

An expert would be able to comment much better.

I do not understand why this repair work should take 3 weeks?

Really sorry to hear/see this. :( All the best and keep us posted.

Really painful to see your car this way bro. I doubt the damage will be 3k only looking at the damage on the rear fender and the hatch door (not forgetting the rear bumper). But still it is only denting and painting work (no parts are required as seen in the pics), then why is the dealer saying 3 weeks for this?
