Great looking seat covers - Congratulations! Seems to be money well spent as they have that elusive 'expensive' look.

Cheers,

Thanks guys! Appreciate much.

A question for audio specialists. One audio installer has advised me for the following replacements/additions:

1. Hertz Energy component speakers (Replacement for front and back)
2. Hertz EP4 amp. (Will provide a separate wire for amp on/off control connected to the HU) (link: Hertz in-car amplifier, speakers, subwoofers
3. Line converter Blaupunkt
4. Tsunami wiring kit
5. Damping material

He advised for a S/W as well but my preference is mostly for old Hindi film songs; so the "thump thump" is not a real requirement. He is asking between 32-35k for the whole work including installation charges. Is this config ok in the price range and keeping in mind my music preference ?

Hi Kapil, the seat covers are awesome.
Do you really feel that the present music system is so bad that you require an upgrade? I heard lots of good comments about this system fitted in the vehicle.

My car is being delivered on Friday. The thrill is same like waiting for my first new born. To keep up the novelty, i have taken Perla Champagne colour (Sept 09 manufactured as per VIN).

Congrats sir!!! So I hope you get the bubbly flowing with the Perla! Seat covers are really giving a great look, and I can't seem to get over myself with the new look. The system in the car is good, other than sound reproduction department. The speakers are not able to produce clearly defined frequencies. Although I like old songs, yet the instrument reproduction must be good for my taste.

Thanks achinth. I guess it cost me the extra money as sajith had to courier the stitched covers to Kochi. As you got them done in Bangalore, so the difference. However, I feel, a hike of about 1.5-2k has occurred.

Hey, The seatcovers are just great! Very good choice!

Although, can we have one or two 'unaltered' pics? This photos look great, but only as photos. I would like to be able to appreciate the seat covers on the unedited pictures.

Am also in the hunt for good seat covers for our new linea

Hold your horses there. Sit down and set your stock ICE to the best possible quality. Listen to it for a few months then decide on what needs to be done. Most ICE gurus opine that ICE needs to be run in before it comes into its own.

Hertz speakers are very good.Get to know what you already have before blowing that kind of money.

Cheers,

Great choice of seat covers!!! They looks so nice!Congrats!

regarding upgrade of ICE - I feel the stock ICE is not bad. also I've heard about warranty issues if you make any changes. See if you can live with it with minimal changes that don't void your warranty. Thanks!

Hi sultan. Thanks. Pics 2,3 and 4 have been HDR processed. Others are in natural color with noise removal as the only processing.

Thanks for the advise guys. Your comments made me think hard and for the time being I have let go of the ICE up-gradation. Will think about it later if required.

Total cost including seats, arm rest, door trims, gear boot, hand brake sheath and tip: Rs. 32K. Color selected was Camel.
Great seats. The colour is also excellent. Did Karlsson have to take your existing seat covers to Bangalore to cut the leather and pre-fit etc? When I asked him about fitting them in my car in Chennai, I was told someone would come to Chennai, remove the seats, take them back to Bangalore. cut and fit the leather seats, come back to Chennai and fit them on the car.

Gears,
Red-One.

Hi red One. Thanks. He did not take the car seat covers bakc to Bangalore as he has got a fitter in Kochi. In case there is no fitter for Kaarlsson in Chennai, He will need to take the original seat covers back for removing the beading and piping. Without removing those, good fitting is not possible. In may case, He had stiched the seats in Bangalore and couriered to a dealer in Kochi. Fitting then was undertaken by this dealer.

A question to Linea owners. Has anyone tried a pen drive greater than 4GB? Any problems faced in this? I would like to get a 16gb one and transfer my music there, so any guesses?

Hi NutsNBolts,

I am currently using transcend 8GB pen drive without any problem, so I guess even 16GB will go..
