I never had any such problem so far.
Looks like the fuel gauge indicator seems not working properly?

11-13? Who is getting this here for in-City driving? I thought 9-10 was more like it! Best in-city I have got 10-10.5 and worst 8.5-9.

company people sometime claim little less mileage than what actually one is getting as it all depends on the driving style adopted by different people. It is not necessary all Fiesta's(or any other car) to achieve same mileage.
11-13 as given by some members may be with a mixed driving i.e city-highway -city like.?

How much distance by car? Is it thru national highways or normal roads/state highways?

You are going to write your experience (photographs also) in the travelogue section?

I have got the Second service of my Fiesta Yesterday at 5500 km run,
following were the niggle issues addressed:

1. left map reading light not working
2. Ratlling sound coming fromt the left rear door
3. Wiper jet not throwing water on the screen upwards

all the first two issues were addressed, but the 3rd issue of wiper jet not throwing water up in the screen is there, this leads to water not going to the wiper to clean the windshield, is this problem with all the fiesta?

Has been working fine in my Fiesta. I have been using the wiper jet in the monsoons till date and never had any issues.

My only grouse is the wiper movement does not cover the entire windshield, wish I had the wipers similar to the Civic which covers the complete front windshield.

Hi ruchir,

I also felt the same thing during last 2-3 days. I can clarly remember that the wiper jet throw was proper 1-2 months back. But somehow, the jet can reach only lower half of the glass area wiped by the wiper. I sometimes even mistake the wipe fuild as rain water drops.

Is it anything to do with the directions of the jet nozzle being changed during my 2nd service? Or is it a case of almost empty wash fluid tank?

I drove my car last week in medium/heavy rain and used wiper almost the all time.
But never had any such problem. Check the jet nozzle, if any blockage there?

@Mayukh and Ruchirtnt: If the water is coming in spurts, after pressing the washer button for a while, the water is most likely over.
If this is not the case, then there can be two possible scenarios:

- The water jet opening is blocked, in which case you can clean it yourself, with a pin. Sometimes, it does get blocked with polish/wax, if not removed properly.

- The water jet is not facing the windshield. In this case, take a pin, insert it gently into the jet opening on the hood, and move the jet opening, and keep on testing it till you are satisfied with the area being covered.

We tried this on my cousin brother's Santro and our Corolla when it was giving us problems.

If these don't work, then there could be a problem with the washer unit itself. Might be leaking, or there could be a cut in the hose.
