Note from Team-BHP Support : No more than 2 smilies per post please. Read our rules.

Siva: Congrats on your purchase. We belong to the same creed. FIAT and SKODA But, you've been driving the FIAT way too longer...!

Laura has a reputation to it's name when it comes to cooling ... ! It really gets on my nerves on hot sunny days. My dad owns it for almost 3 years now and it takes quite a beating from the heat. The front sheild has VKOOL film, but that does not help a bit. It takes a full blower and windows 3/4th down to blow out the hot cabin air. Then turn the A/C on for a quicker cooling which takes around 8-10 long minutes

Since yours is new... It should take around 4-5 minutes with the above workaround... But, I swear it looks pretty odd for a Laura driven with all it's windows down

Last few days were extremly hot here in Bangalore.
I had multiple people from onsite visiting us and had to take some one out for lunch on most of the days.
I was worried about the car AC being not less effective.

Surprisingly I could manage with temperature set around 18 and fan blower speed at '3'. It was cooling well in few minutes.

By the way, he was very appreciative about the ride & comfort of the car

I too had some hot afternoon trips in Mumbai this weekend. Switched to highest blower speed 4 and it cooled reasonably. But speed 4 s extremely noisy and I can not have any conversations with co-passengers...
Anyway, let's see how it goes in May....

Fuel Efficiency figure- Latest

This time I got 10.3Kmpl with BP Speed.
I was generally driving carefully with short power bursts here and there.
But AC usage has increased considerably as summer has come early and is quite harsh this time.

I am currently on IOC Ext Prem, let me see!

Unpleasant Incident

April turned out to be bad for me

One afternoon while driving on Hosur road, a drunken guy came in the middle and my left side mirror hit him hard. Luckily nothing happened to him, but mirror unit was totally broken.
I claimed insurance as the repair estimate came around 15k. Only a mild shock as I was mentally prepared any way for some huge amount

Then I had to leave the country (came to Canada for a 3 weeks official visit) within few days after the incident. So could not be present while car was returned. In brief, I had to spent 5k from my pocket (plastics, fiber etc).

I am yet to see the car and eager to drive.
I was not driving in Toronto or Montreal (you dont need to in Montreal!)
