Hope we get some official confirmation from Ford Motors, which I think is unlikely as it may lead to a lot of current figo owners queuing up for upgrade.
The initial figo (mine, Aug 2010) GC was 165

These look way better than the normal black ones.
Don't know if it is the same, there are two accessories which may be what you are refering to
1) FIG0006 - Body side moulding premium Rs 5827
2) FIG0012 - Chrome garnish, side repeater kit - Rs 518.

Thanks for the correction. Per the latest spec, GC is 168mm.

Please double check your manual, it remains 168 even in June brochure/GTO review etc.

May be they made the suspension stiffer in new ones.

re: Review: 1st-gen Ford Figo (2010)

Three pages later, guys are still discussing ground clearance of Figo? Lol. Like the above BHPian says, Figo's ground clearance has been unchanged since day one. Only rear suspension was made stiffer from late Aug'11. I've noticed substantial difference in TD Figo manufactured before Aug'11 and my Figo (manufactured on 31st Aug'11). While the former touches the ground easily, the present Figo has stiffer suspension and doesn't touch ground easily even with 5 people + luggage.

That's great to know! Congrats pushkark
When did you buy your Figo? C'mon give us some pics. One simply doesn't declare purchase of his new car on T-BHP without giving pics

re: Review: 1st-gen Ford Figo (2010)

Planning to take the car to the service station to address the front suspension noise issue. I have a feeling that the AC is not cooling as it did earlier. Yes, i need to plan the visit since the Service Center is 60 kms away!! For the AC issue, I suspect either the thermostat is cutting off early or the AC filter is clogged. I have a feeling that the AC cuts off and comes on at a very less time interval. I wanted to clean the AC filter myself but i located the fan blower just behind the center console which is too difficult to reach.

Has somebody located and cleaned the AC filter as a DIY?

The a/c filter is within the right side footwell of the passenger side.

It would be great if you could post a pic and the process of reaching and taking it out. Once i took out the glove box only to find a fuse box behind. I located that the blower unit is just behind the head unit, but couldn't locate the filter.

This seems like treating the Symptom, rather than the problem.
UPDATE -

http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/tyre-a...ire-noise.html

Check the above thread ... never knew this would be related to Brake Noise.

Cleaning the brakes does solve the issue of noise temporarily. Not sure, excessive brake dust also means shorter life of the brake Pads?

How soon should I get the brake pads replaced? I have lost all hope on Ford to replace it under warranty. They have been unrelenting. I emailed Ford MD too. Although I wasnt expecting anything to come out of it, I am surprised no body even cares to even reply to the emails

re: Review: 1st-gen Ford Figo (2010)

@ALL: Can anybody confirm if the ZXi has the switch for fog lamps? What I am looking for is a straight fit of the fogs at the showroom itself, so would like to know if the fogs can be fitted directly or would need some other part as well like a switch or something.

Please guide.

Last time I checked, ZXi doesn't have switch for fog lamps. While installing fog lamps, the front bumper needs to be removed and the headlight switch is also changed.

re: Review: 1st-gen Ford Figo (2010)

IMO, Headlight switch was changed only in the cars which were made in the first 2-3 months of the official launch. Installing fog lights+new switch used to cost around 5k. Mine being a Aug 2010 manufactured EXI, Installing fogs doesn't required the switch change and costed me 3k.

To check if the switch is compatible, turn the parking lights/headlights on and pull the switch toward yourself. It will slot in two stages. 1st one will light front fogs and 2nd one will light the rear fogs (N/A in figo even as an extra fitment). Indicators on the instrument console will also light up at the same time.

The headlamp switch has integrated notched for fog lamps. Pull one notch for front head lamps and two notches for rear fog lamps.
With regards to the relay for them, will have to check the car. Will be updating you on it soon.
