That was a victory dance done by a person who have travelled through scary roads who just managed not to wet his pants

1.Why did HVK's scorpio got stuck or lost momentum there? Tyres lost grip?

2. HVK seems to be driving too close to the ice walls (in last few pics in the quoted post) why? Whereas the safari seems to have done it, through the middle of the road.

3. Laluks and Megha ji seem to be not wearing footwear/hawais! Recipe for frost bite! Why not a boot?? any specific reason?

OT: my 500th post came in IPHE and 600th comes in Mughal roads

SACH PASS TO BAIRAVGAD SECTOR

Descending from Sach Pass to the Chamba Valley was not easy:
- Lots of slush
- Foggy
- Raining
- Steep curves

Let us check some of Agent Vinod's Car Cam videos

(for some sinister purpose, I note that he has not un-classified the best ones where we cut through some scintillating water falls)

...and last year during the IPHE drive, can you imagine we did all these places you see in the 3 videos above in pitch dark after sun down, in deep fog too!

Oh, they were barefooted most of the time, they are used to it, they have lots of experience trekking around in the Western Ghats region. In any case, neither the weather nor the water was very cold.

It was a steep slope.
There was rubble in the ascent, so could not gather full speed.
There were a few sharp large rocks in the road & I had to swerve to avoid hitting the under-carriage.
At one point, I was going too slow, I lost power & stalled.
I had to reverse down the slope to some level ground to start the climb again.
The Safari had the advantage of "looking over the shoulders of the giant", having seen me already do the climb. But he also managed to smartly go over the very rocks that I was jittery about & trying to avoid.

Me avoiding the rocks (and hence going close to the snow walls) & the Safari boldly going over the rocks.

Reasons mentioned above.
They liked it that way, no fear of frost bite, weather was pleasant all throughout.
