Fantastic stuff Sam. Circa 2001 (ish) there was a vintage car rally starting simultaneously from Bombay and Poona terminating at Amby Valley. We recieved royal treatment the whole day, I'll never forget. And from what I see there is so much more added since then. It truly is remarkable. How about we have a trademark cucumber flinging meet there some time?

Amazing photos, totally unreal place. It's great that all this beauty is relatively unspoiled in India, but comes at a price, which is a shame. You were really lucky to have this opportunity Sam & Jenny, thanks for sharing it with us x

O Yeti, I did not mean artifical in a bad way. I once lived in a place almost as artificial -- you tend to get used to it. It really does look lovely.

Sahara/Aamby Valley is in a spot of bother. Their initial marketing plan didn't work out, so they are now selling to aam janata -- the sort that can fork out a crore or upwards for a house. Why else would they have this sort of website up? Elevation:: 2 Bedroom:: Chalets:: Amby Valley Sahara Lake City

Ok, now I'm done being annoyingGoogleboy, some more pics please!

No, no, no. You got it all wrong. Jeetendra & Jaya Prada would be behind the bushes and not in front.

LOL, Navin, those are not flip flops, those are shades; and they're not red, they're black!

The swings

I love swings. Almost as much as I love benches.

But one look at these massive swings overlooking the lake and it was like someone punched me hard in my tummy and knocked all my wind out. They were bloody gorgeous.

Don't you agree?
