Isn't the car already released?

at last

There was a void on this forum all these days which you have started to fill. A pleasant surprise there.

A few requests..

1) Upload loads of pictures of you guys frolicking and with a healthy sprinkling of the car pics.

2) If possible check up with Tata Service guys about availability of parts/ service in case the vehicle breaks down ( Worst case scenario only)

3) Please get a quick crash course on how GTO goes about doing his car reviews. It would be interesting to see how you do it.

I am all eyes on this one

pull the rear seat forward and you should have room for a jerry can behind it although it will still be awful clsoe to a hot engine. maybe some felt insulation will help.

then use the rear seat itself to store a duffle bag or 2 of clothes, water food, etc.

But to be safe we will have to top-up fuel every 250kms or less.
I am also toying with the idea of carrying a fuel cannister with 20 litres of petrol, but - where do I place it during the journey?Placing it on the rear seat will mean a constant whiff of gasoline...
given the car's construction the whiff of gasoline will be there where you keep the jerry can.

Sam I believe it can be done. 200km between fillups should work.

The JBL Decal is a dead giveaway .
I bet the Nano is soundproof as well, Was trying to get your attention near Leelavati on Friday evening. I was in the rick next to the Nano, I guess it was the music and the AC had all your attention.

Keep up th good work Sammy and NC, Have fun and Take care.

Yes. And no. Try buying one and you'll see what I mean. Except for the initial lottery few, nobody can get one.
Tata plans to start systematic retail by late jan/early feb.

I intend to stay for a day for some work and fly back, leaving the car in New Delhi - with some very capable friends.

Clue: Pimp my Nano.

Wow this sounds interesting, the Yeti in a Nano.

Btw I did a Yellow Nano near Aundh over the last weekend. Was that you?

This sounds like one of those Top Gear Drives. Could you please take some Videos as well this time

All the Best for the Journey

Going by experience Rudra will never sit in that car

Great going Sam and Gautam. Take lots of pictures. This seems to be longest road trip yet for a Nano.

Thanks for this. We intend to be careful. We are both single and have a long life ahead of us.

We've got it worked out. Kind of.

We intend to drive through Gujarat. Vapi-Navsari-Surat-Baroda-Ahmedabad etc etc

I think we can reach Udaipur in about 15 hours if we maintain an average of 60kmph including breaks.

Spend the night in Udaipur and hopefully in another 13 to 14 hours we can be in New Delhi.

Unfortunately there is no room for anything else as I must be in Delhi by Sunday evening.

Yes, that was Jenny and I. We took the car to Pune over the weekend.

Yes, I intend to take a video camera this time.
