Like as been said above, any car can do the stretch. With 2 adults and 2 kids, the QJet should have no problems

drvikas,
In terms of car, i dont think there will be any issue. the roads are pretty good, surat - mumbai will be difficult as lot of trucks traffic.

As from passenger point, i feel its actually boring. As a driver you will enjoy but the co passenger need to be engaged, the entire Rajasthan stretch is dry and placid. You need to also consider the driving fatigue, which will set in if you are a single driver, Stiff neck, Sore sholders, Knees etc. I think these will be more in small car than an SUV.

if you have already done long journey with family , then its enjoyable.

@drvikasagrawal Here are my two cents , you can do this simply in any car , I had done till keylong without any preparations in in Matiz , several times manali in alto , and that too in peak snowfall season few years back and Driving on hills needs more patience and vehicle stability then on plains this is what I feel.

@ V&V No offense but I own Honda City and Scorpio but I always love to drive and enjoy my V-tech on highways then Scorpio my personal liking. Driving Scorpio makes me stiff and exhausted. No experience of Safari yet

The last of our trip. Started our return journey at 8.30 am.

Route was planned not to take traditional udaipur route,

Crossed jaipur by 5. As usual high truck traffic, Jam at Shahpura, Bhiwadi-Manesar.Reached home by 10.30 pm

Thanks man, good pictures.

Lot of heavy trucks are using the right tracks. As in some of the western countries and middle east, the government should ban and fine the trailers/trucks for using the right (speed) tracks. Sometimes these trailers even block the traffic while overtaking.
