Sorry your data seems to be incorrect. It is in fact a almost perfect upgrade. Attachment 820495 Source: TYRESAVE: Tyre Size Calculator (this is incidentally the site that Rehaan has recommended in his tyre thread) |

Noop, I checked on the link you provided and calculated again, this is what I got :- 195/65/15 has dia of 634 mm, 165/80/14 dia 620 and 185/70/14 dia 615. so comparison of 195/65/15 with stock L & V gives 2.26% diff and with stock Z 3.1 % diff. I still stand by 195/60/15 is best upgrade |

Just spoke to the sales executive at Chowgule in Pune (Satara Road) from where I've booked my VDi (expected in Nov). Wanted the alloys from the ZDi & he says it would cost me Rs.5273 per alloy & for the tyres i would get about Rs.2000 ~ Rs.2500 off on whatever set i am buying. Is the alloy price ok? Or is he quoting too high or should I get it done from outside. Please advise. please: |

Are those the Suzuki OEM alloys available on the Z variants? Then, it ought to be costly. Often, the branded OEM alloys cost 10K each (approx). So, I think, we can call these good value. :) But, I would have preferred the Lenso Samurai over this. Those will be almost the same price. And, the good thing is that, Maruti is not too fuzzy about wheel upgrades. So go aftermarket. |

So I would be able to get the "Lenso Samurai" for the 185/65 R15 size then & is the tyre buyback price ok? I am going to need four alloys & 5 tyres which is going to totally add upto (along with the exchange price of the tyres) 5273 * 4 + 2000 * 5 = Rs.31'000 which slowly takes it towards ZDi territory along with an ICE. |

You can pick up the 15" or the 16" Lenso for the new Swift. The 16" alloys and tyres will be costly when compared to 15". But I think 16" suits the new Swift better. Edit: The tyre buy back price quoted looks good. But bargain hard on the new tyres as well. :OT If you have a choice, stretch and get the ZDi. It is a much safer car and you get a lot of kit as well. Besides, the OEM music system is very nice. Read up. http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/indian...ml#post2470529 |

I think for lenso you will not get alloys that are 15*6j , but you will get 15* 6.5j and higher , so will it be ok to put 185/65 R15 on 15/6.5 alloys, im not sure though, gurus can advise on this . Cheers |

Thanks. I also just got an email from Maruti confirming this. The offset value of rims in VXi (old model) and the alloys in ZXi (old model) is +45 mm. Someone had mentioned this incorrectly as +38 also. Not sure if +45 value is true for the redesigned Swifts or not. |

I have a 2006 Swift Lxi running on stock rims and tyres (JK Tornado).I want to upgrade my rims to 15" and my tyres. 1. What tyre size should I be looking at (Bridgestone/Yoko) if I want to retain handling but improve ride quality? 2. What colour alloys would look nice on a silver car ? |

You can easily go for 195*60*15 , should not be a problem at all. |
