i've read about sidewall issues for yoko on bad roads and the driving conditions in my case is probably 80% on bad roads. If yoko a drives are durable on bad roads, then its definitely an option I can consider.

My swift has 185 70 14 Yoko A drives and completed 32k kms without even a puncture and will last another 15k, going by the present wear. I should say that I drive 40% potholed roads. Considering the price, I think, they are not that bad.

Its pretty rugged. Suggest you to take a look at the shop and decide

I have crossed over 10k and aware ppl who have run over 50-60k on it

I am in bangalore and roads here are horrible. Also taken on bad rural roads. Its pretty good.

Coming to sidewalls, i don't think other options you mentioned are exceptional either. Best to avoid as much as you can

Which tyres would be a better option in the 185/70R14 size if the driving is mostly on bad roads?

Apollo Acelere
MRF ZLO
Michelin XM2
Bridgestone Turanza ER60
Any other tyre that is better than the above
Apollo Acelere is a decent VFM tyre. I'm using it for last 20K KM. Quite satisfied. But if you have the budget go for Yoko A drives.

fuel efficiency is slightly improved on highways, city traffic its gone down but the difference is not very significant. In terms of performance car is less noisy with better road grip on high speeds.

Guys , getting my Swift VDi next week .. Planning to upgrade the wheels and hoping to get alloys ..
Tyres : Yoko A drive 195-60/r15 - 5k
Alloys : Lenso Samurai Series - Total 22k for 4 pieces .
Buyback - around 2500 per tyre ( might increase if stock is Bridgestone)
Hows the prices ? Am i getting an acceptable deal here ?

That's a reasonable deal. But I guess you can try negotiating it for under 5k. 2 years back I was given a quote of 24k for Lenso Samurai series. Authorized Yokohama dealers will give the best rates. Here are some of them in your area.

Ended up getting 205/55 r15 s drives and Lenso Samurai Dojo Alloys for 32 k .. Had to trade all 5 of my tyres , they gave me a spare yoko a drive which has been used for around 1000kms . I would recommend this shop to all T-BHP members in the area .

I got my Yoko C Drives 195/60 R15 for 4.9k a piece. This tyre does improve the handling.
