Re: Liva's alloys

Did the dealership trouble you with any thing related to Toyota's warranty? I ask because I was told by most salesmen about how one cannot add an after-market alloy wheel to a Toyota product without voiding the vehicle or maybe just the suspension warranty.

The alloy is not upsized. Its same 14" size as the steel rim. Warranty was one thing due to which I did not go in for 15" alloys.

Hi All,

Just Got my 2012 shod with Lenso Samurais on stock 15" Michelin XM1s. Does the Gunmetal look nice with the red? Opinions please !

Cheers

re: The official alloy wheel show-off thread. Lets see your rims!

Hi F150,

Thanks for the comments. I paid about 25K for these. Other options were matt black and white. After a lot of choices I zeroed in on these. I thought it gives a good contrast to the dark red. Also, the hypersilvers are somehow common nowadays. Thought of going a bit "Hatke"

Cheers

You can't go wrong with Samurai. But I think those stock Michelins look a bit narrow on the alloys.

Did you pick up a set of 5 for 25K?

Hi Deet,

Any suggestions on a good upsize without sacrificing ride and noise.

Fantastic looking alloys , they go really well with that fantastic car.

Before you upsize the tyres beware that by doing so you are voiding the suspension warranty.

Even then if you really want to upsize then I would suggest 15" 195/60 the best suitable upsize for All New Honda City. For ride quality and tyre noise I would suggest Michelin PLC.
Also check reports on MRF ZLO say; you can check this thread for reviews http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/tyre-a...-tyres-10.html

Remington Steele,

Thanks a ton for the UP. I guess it was the right choice instead of silver which I feel grown on you in a while. I shall not be upsizing for a while since even the Honda guy told me the same about warranty on suspension.

Cheers

As RemingtonSteele suggested, the 195/60 R15 is perfect upgrade from the stock size of 175/65 R15. The circumference of both tyres are almost same. A wider tyre can save you from some potholes as well.

The ride and noise will depend on the tyre compound & tread pattern. Have heard good things about MRF Z.L.O & Michelin Primacy LC. The new XM2 doesn't come in that size. Stay away from Yoko S Drive if you're longing for comfort.
