![]() I am honestly very surprised by some of the comments here. Will the reaction be the same if a Fiat, Tata or Mahindra downsizes the wheel and the price of the vehicle remains unchanged? The Crysta is already priced ridiculously high. Well, let them fleece Indian customers more, as long as we don't mind...

![]() They don't have to be mutually exclusive, do they? How about keeping big rims with larger profile tyres? Problem is the lower profile tyre, not the big rim per se. Won't that be better overall in all cases? Ride comfort, superior tyre, and big rims for the looks?

![]() Bigger diameter wheel tyre combination can provide good ride quality as long as the tyre profile isn't too low for comfort. Manufacturers tune the suspension keeping the tyre aspect ratio in mind. Ideally i would have preferred a 215/60r17 which is within the 3% diameter allowance as compared to 205/65/r16. This combination would have provided the best compromise between ride and handling not to mention much better proportions with wheels filling up the fenders much better.

![]() Hi. I see a tyre bulge in my crysta 2.8 ZX. Its a 17inch stock rims. I have heard owners saying service center will change it to 16inch rims with a big sidewall profile tyres. My question is if i opt for an after market 17inch rims with a big side wall profile than the stock ones will i face the same issue ?? Need some advice on this issue ASAP.

![]() With the updated Innova Crysta, Toyota has gone back to the 17" tyres for the Z variant! I'm not sure what the logic is this time. ![]()

The 16inchers were most likely a stop gap, till the correct solution was found out. | |

![]() 215/55R17 on Innova! We can expect to see BMW owners and Innova owners socialising in the tire shops when they come to replace their cracked tires. Hopefully taxi guys will stick to 16" wheels and let the city slickers buy the 17" wheels.
