Nobody have mentioned alloy wheels marketed by apollo under the brand name accelere wheels. I got to know from a dealer that it is made in germany and is stronger and good. He said that it costs just a little more than aura.

I am looking for a better alloy wheel for my wagon R lxi, did a lot of cross checking with dealers, resellers, online shops etc. A brand called 'Flying Eagle' is also refered to me by one of the local shops, which is not in the discussions here. Not yet made up my mind. I would like to get some tip on the tyres that need to be combined with the new alloy rim. Presently my car has the standard tyres of maruti 145/70 R13. Somewhere I read online, its better to have a minimum of 155/70 for wagon R. Suggestions appreciated.

close enough... i was quoted 17k for 5 (which comes to 13.6k for 4). but this was without bargaining, so hoping to knock down the price a bit.
apparently the quality is pretty good... the dealer slotted apollo in between plati and league.

IMO, Aura has very plain designs. So just go for either Neo, Prestige or HR. You can check out Ashoka Wheels in minister road for the designs and decide on the model number and brand and buy it from elsewhere as they are way too expensive than other stores

I have HR & I love them. There are better alloys though. Aura is dull & boring.

Hi Chetu, even I have Plati on my Alto.
From my experience, what I have understood so far is that, in India, dealers are pushing imported Alloys (even those who are exclusive dealers of Aura - as per Aura's website - and keep other brands) because they have more margin in imported ones compared to Aura / Apollo.
Most of the imported designs are seen across the market under different brand names. Don't know who actually manufactures these.
I searched markets in Cochin, Coimbatore, Trivandrum (and well Dubai too) and spending hours reading tbhp forums, stretching and pulling my budget and considering various alloy models, I had actually zeroed in on Apollo / Aura wheels (13") and Apollo Accelere Tyres (155x65x13") which costs approx 21,000 (including tyres) for set of 5. But the dealer was so clever that he outwitted me with all selling tactics and with my car sitting on lift with all wheels removed, (which, was actually without my permission) finally I ended up buying what I really didnt want (at the same budget but got a set of 4 !!!). Plati Alloys (13"x5.5J) with Michelin XM1 (155x70x13")!!!!!.... Not really happy with the whole process but now I have to live with it I guess. Did anyone faced similar experiences?
And yes. I searched web for Plati website but couldnt find one.
With Aura having less attractive models and not much transparency in imported alloys, the dealers are the ones who are laughing their way to bank.

Haven't used them, but they look great, come with a 1 yr warranty, and according to the dealer is nearly as good as League in terms of quality... very strong and pretty light.
I would go for them.

Also , pls. let me know thoughts on rear spoliers from market tahn compared to Ford showroom which was quoting 8k :-=
